Hope's POV
I needed to see and talk to Kelley so that's why I was at Stanford right now. After walking around for a while I finally found her dorm room. I knock on her door and a girl opens it.
"Hi, um can I help you?" The girl asked me.
"Hi I'm Hope Solo. I was wondering if Kelley was here maybe?"
"Oh she should be here in maybe a couple hours. She was out of town for a couple days. You can come in if you want oh and I'm Christen Press."
"Nice to meet you." I say as I shake her hand. I walk into the room and see Kelley's side of the room. I smiled when I saw a picture of both of us.
"So you go to the University of Washington right?" Christen says.
"Yea. How'd you know?"
"Kelley talks about you sometimes. Not to get into your business or anything but why'd didn't you answer her calls?"
"I was having some personal problems and stuff which is why I'm here."
About an hour later there was a knock on the door and Christen went to open it.
Kelley's POV
"Thanks again Kelley for coming here. It really meant a lot." Alex says to me.
"I'll see you soon Alex." I said then I give my best friend a long hug then I grab my bag and get on the bus back to Stanford.
When I find my seat on the bus I look out the window and give Alex one last wave. It's always hard leaving her.
After a long drive back I was back at Stanford. I was excited to see Christen and to find out if I made the team. When I approached my room and knocked on the door then Christen opened it.
"Christen, Hey!" I say as I give her a hug.
"Hey Kelley!" Christen says.
"So what's up? How are you?" I ask.
"I'm fine! And you have someone here to see you." Christen says as she points to my side of the room where Hope was.
"I'll be outside, give you guys some time together." Christen says.
"Hope..." I say as I walk over and give her a hug.
"Hey Kelley."
"What are you doing here?"
"Well I need to talk to you."
"Okay. We can first start on why you haven't been answering my calls."
"I've been having problems. A lot. I've... Started drinking again, I've been getting in so many fights,and I can't focus on school and soccer... I need help."
"Why is this happening? You were fine before you left for college. What changed?"
"It's because of you Kelley. I don't have you around to tell me what's right and what's wrong. I don't have anyone that supports me the way you do. And... I just really miss you. You are always there to pick me up now I'm just falling." Hope says while a tear slides down here cheek.
"Oh my gosh Hope, I'm so sorry." I said as I pull her in for another hug. "If you would have called I would have came over to help you."
"So what should I do?" Hope asked.
"When you get back there, call me everyday so I can talk to you so you don't end up falling again. But right now you should focus on what's important and stride to do better. I know you Hope. I know you can do anything and I will be there every step of the way. But everything starts with you. You need to be the one that wants to change and get better. I can only do so much and I will try to do as much as I can."
"Thank you Kelley. That's really what I needed to hear right now. I needed to know that someone was still there for me."
"Hope I love you. More then words can describe and I don't want to be with anyone but you. I find you beautiful in every way and um yea I love you."
"I love you to Kelley and i have for a while now. I wouldn't want to be with anyone but you."
I smiled then leaned in and gave Hope a kiss.
"Oh yea um I'm not here." Christen says as she walks into the room and back out.
Hope and I bursted out laughing.
"We're good right?" I said.
"Yea, we're good." Hope says with a smile as I lean in and give her another kiss.
After that I opened the door to see Christen sitting against the wall on her phone.
"You can come in now." I say with a laugh.
"No more making out?" Christen says.
"We weren't even making out"
"Whatever Kelley."
"By the way Kelley, did I ever tell you that you made the team?"
"Nope."
"Well Kelley you made the team!"
"I kind of assumed I made the team. But thanks for telling me. Can't wait to kick ass with you on the field!" I tell Christen.
When we both went back into our room Hope, Christen, and me sat down on the floor and talked.
"I meant to ask earlier, how's Alex?" Christen asked.
"What happened to Alex?" Hope asked.
"Well first, I was out of town so I could see Alex because she was having some heart issues." I tell Hope. "But she's fine now. She was just having some irregular heart beats."
"So they just let her go after that?"
"Pretty much."
"I mean irregular heart beats can be something minor but they can lead to something more serious."
"Yea I know. The doctor gave her a heart rate monitor."
"Well make sure you check on her daily to make sure she's fine." Hope says.
"I will."
