Chapter 1

Kilis pov
I watched as they carried thorins body to his coffin to only have the feeling of sadness and regret rush through me because he died in battle but I didn't so I took a deep breath to only see the girl I thought I would never see again Y/N so I walked up to her to only hear her say

"I'm sorry kili"

As she said that I looked at the body laying on the coffin to only see a lifeless thorin laying there and to only feel my eyes water up and a tear fall down so I wiped it away then said

"I watched him die, I watched the sword stab through his chest and I didn't go after him, Y/N I watched my uncle die, I can't get the image out of my head I should've die on the field, I should've died with him"

As I said that I felt someone pull me closer to them so I moved closer to only feel myself hug her tighter and when I did she hugged me tighter and said

"It's not your fault and he died knowing that you become a great King"

With that I felt a tear run down my face so I allowed and when I did I hugged her tighter to only hear my brother say

"Kili come on let's go"

As fili said that I pulled apart to look at Y/N to see that she was giving me an apologetic look so I smiled a small smile then said

"Bye"

With that she waved goodbye so I walked off knowing that me and my brother are now kings of the mountain, knowing that from this day in my life has changed in a good and bad way.

Your pov
You watched as kili walked away to only place your glance on thorins lifeless body laying on the coffin to only feel tears rolling down your face so you wiped them away walked up to thorins lifeless body to only hear your sister say

"He would be so proud of you"

As she said that you looked at her so she can see a crying you so she pulled you in a hug and when she did you hugged her tighter and said

"He blames himself for his death, he watched him die"

As you said that she hugged you tighter then said

"Let's go home you need your rest"

With that you two walked home knowing that you lost the only thing that was like a father to you, knowing that you and durin brothers might become close again.
