she traveled all night, facing the strong nightly winds or just riding them, she made her way up twisting and spiraling dangerously. suddenly there was a loud buzz sound behind her. she slowed and a middle aged man sidled next to her,

"you are aware of the fines you receive when you wind travel in the night?" he asked and and Nora nodded, "good, i'm going to have to take you with me." he said and Nora groaned. why did she make such a bad mistake?

~

They flew slowly and Nora almost yelled in anger at him for being too slow.

"where are we going?" she asked instead, he gave her an incredulous look, "ah, so I'm going to jail?" she asked he nodded, "do you speak?" she asked him,

"you already heard me talk, why would you need to again?" he asked her, she chuckled,

"you know, we don't have to go through all this silly business." she smiled sweetly at him and he grimaced,

"these are the courts rules, they make them, everyone follows them, even Half-breeds." he looks at her disgustedly and she glares at him.

"its not my fault that my parents didn't want an illegitimate child." she said as they neared the compound.

"you go in, i tell the court, you appear before them and they decide what your punishment shall be." she groaned,

"all this, can't you just fine me? let me stay in for 24 hours?" she asked him and they hit the ground.

"if you're a half-breed, how come you have such a high magic skill?" he asked her holding her arm tightly and typing a password into the system. she shrugged,

"i don't know, maybe my father was a high skilled magic user." she told him, he nodded and there was a loud buzzing noise and then clicking, he opened the large gate which groaned and screeches horribly. he waled her to a small booth,

"night flyer." he stated simply and there was another clicking noise as the man in the booth unlocked a door. they went through.

"whats your name?" she asked him.

"do you need to know?" he produced a ring of keys,

"i usually like to know the names of attractive men who take me back to their lair," he chuckled,

"i dont have a name." he said unlocking a cell and placing her inside, "i'll be back." he walked away,

"I'm looking forward to it." she said rudely and sat heavily on the hard metal bench they provided for prisoners that they hadn't decided to do with yet. she leaned back and closed her eyes, in wait of her punishment.
