C H A P T E R 5_

I run past anyone who tries to get in my way and with the hostiles who wish to kill me I return the favor.

More of the traitors show up ahead of me and I flash forward, their feet freezing to the floor and crawls up half their bodies as I run past them and turn around, using wind to shove them over so hard it breaks their spines. I continue charging through the halls and down to the lower levels, tackling another goon on my way and tearing my claws of ice through his throat with a roar, getting up shortly after and running again.

Finally I leap down to the rooms under the Helicarrier to see someone there making his way along the metal walkway. He doesn't hear me yet. So I teleport down to him and use something I have learned over the years to put pain in his mind that stings, rendering him unable to strike me or move much at all.

I stand there in front of him, a glare worse than any other but yet my expression completely indifferent.

He looks angrily at me, wanting to end my life but also in pain. That's when I notice his eyes are an unhealthy color of ice blue... like Loki's were before. There is a sickly redness around them that the Asgardian also had before...

Here he is, within my grasp to finish. Loki is still on my radar, but this guy... this guy is who I looked into the eyes of as he gave the order to slaughter my family; everyone I cared about. It is he that I will watch the life drain from.

I wait for him to know who I am but his eyes look robotic.

I twitch my head a little to the side. "You don't recognize me, do you?"

He huffs angrily but then swallows and squints a little at me when his eyes finally lock with mine. "Yeah I do now... You're the one that got away..."

"And it seems like you still have a loose end, huh? I mean clearly you haven't had much experience with a super before. Killing you should be quite easy."

"Then why haven't you done it yet?" he almost smirks but the pain keeps him from doing so.

"Because I want you to know why I am killing you. You took the lives of the people I loved when they weren't ready to die. You erased every happiness in my life and left me to shatter in the darkness. You destroyed my future. So I'm going to destroy yours."

"Then enough talk," he says with a low growl.

I turn around and take a deep breath. "Finally," I mutter to myself as I quickly whirl back to him while raising my leg to deliver a roundhouse kick to his face.

He quickly shakes it off by coming out of his pain caused paralysis and grabbing an arrow ready to let loose straight at my heart.

I dodge and grab the bow to point it in another direction as he shoots. I twist the weapon to try and pull it out of his hands but he turns around and elbows me in the face. I let go of the bow and back away as he quickly retaliates by trying to hit me with it.

I duck quickly and grab his arm with my hand that lights up with flames. He cries out from the pain and I try to nail him in the face with a rock hard ice fist but he throws his leg over, knocking me off my feet and letting my palms catch me when I fall on the hard metal.

I look up at him in a full on glare as he pulls out another arrow and prepares to end my life. Before he fires I zap ahead, appearing behind him and grabbing his neck, my blade in the other hand ready to slice open his throat but he catches my arm with his hand, dropping his bow and panting at my odd inhuman strength. I use all the might I have to pull the blade closer and closer to his throat, trying to resist his grasp best I can. The anger; the rage; the fury, it shines through me now, as if my soul was formed by the devil's hand. All I want is to kill him, the strive taking my actions and making them like a hate thunder. And that's when I scare people.
