Layla's Birthday - Hans

You walked through the streets of wall Sina, a small (now) three year old holding your hand

"You enjoying your birthday so far Layla?" ever since your daughter had been able to walk you would take her into the town market for her birthday allowing her to by what she wanted just as you once did for your sister

"Yes mama!" Layla giggled as she pulled you over to a small soup stand

"mama can I please have some?" she asked her eyes filled with awe as the stall holder cut four carrots all at once

"Of course birthday girl" you said placing a hand on her carefully plaited hair, the stall owner gave her a wide smile and handed her a large cup of soup. You got out your wallet but he waved a gentle hand in the air

"free for the birthday girl" he said giving you a toothy smile, you smiled back

"what do we say Layla?" Layla looked up from the soup and with a large grin said

"Thank you Mr soup man!" he chuckled as you both walked away, Layla took your hand. You noticed that the sky was turning orange and the sun was setting

"Ok Layla one more thing and then we shall head home to see daddy" she nodded while taking a large sip of soup, when she looked up her eyes caught something, her face went bright pink and she grinned

"Mama can I have some money... I see something I want but its a secret" you gave her a questioning look before handing her some notes

"meet me at the carriage" you said indicating towards the large brown carriage that brought you here, she nodded and ran off towards a jewellery stall. You hopped inside the carriage to be greeted my an unfamiliar face

"Oh sorry! do I have the wrong carriage?" you said going to open the door

"No you don't... I'm here to see you, I need your help... I am being tracked... just pretend as if you know me when Lay- I mean your daughter gets in" just as he finished the carriage door swung open revealing a out of breath Layla holding a small brown paper bag

"there is no change ma-... who is that?" she asked taking a seat beside you

"This is my friend..."

"Hans" he added smiling at her she smiled back and continued eating her soup as the carriage began to move

TIME SKIP (LEVIS OFFICE - LEVI IS TALKING WITH HANS - YOU ARE WUTH LAYLA ARMIN AND HEICHOU)

"Armin! Armin! catch me if you can!" Layla shouted as she ran around the room, with Armin chasing after her. When he caught her he carried her over to the large wrapped box that had been sitting on Levis desk for about two hours now. Erwin (he has lost his arm during the two years we skipped) who was sitting in the corner looked up from his book

"Armin... you know Levi wanted us to wait for him to come back before we open her presents" Armin pouted at his lover

"fiiiiine!" he whined, he carried Layla away from the presents and back down in front of her colouring book

"Layla I have an idea! How about we see who can draw a better picture of your daddy and your mama will judge" Layla clapped

"Yes! Yes!" Erwin stood and walked to the middle of the room where the other three sat

"I want to give it a shot" Armin smiled at him as he sat down and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. The three of them began scribbling away, Layla was smiling wildly as she drew what you believed to be a tea cup. Armin looked more focused than he ever had occasionally helping Erwin keep his page straight. Erwin finally was smiling as he drew just like Layla except his was more subtle

"DONE MAMA!" shouted Layla as loudly as she could

"finished" Armin added with a victorious smile

"I am finished too" Erwin placed his paper upside-down so the others could not see it. After all three pages were handed over to you, you began to 'judge' them,

Layla's picture confused you at first, Layla was only three yet she was able to read and write, You looked over the picture to see a tea cup identical to the one you drink your tea out of every morning, it was labelled 'Mama's cup' inside it was Levi swimming in tea, Labelled 'Daddy swim tea' and finally the title to the page in big letters all in different colours 'Mama's favourite', that's when you understood what she meant, you laughed to your self... Sugar... she always hears you calling him sugar and whenever she would ask you why, you would say because its you favourite...

Armin's picture was very artistic, it was Levi alright... he even managed to get Levis hair parting in the right place, it was very good and you were definitely going to frame it later...

Finally Erwin's picture was different some how in his picture Levi was smiling and in the reflection of his eyes you could see... was that you?... Erwin had managed to draw Levi in such fine detail that he could capture your reflection In his eyes! The title to the whole image was simply '(y/n)'s secret', he had written this because, Erwin always says that you had a way to make Levi smile no matter what... you reply would always be 'its a secret'. Recently he said he had figured it out... now you understood, you were the reason, you were the secret, seeing you is what makes Levi smile...

"they all are so good!" Layla crawled over to you and looked at each picture

"Er's is the best..." she said with a small smile, you looked over to Erwin who was grinning at the little girl

"I think you are right pumpkin" you said to her

"Let me see!" Armin announced suddenly

"when did you get good at art!" He giggled leaning on his tall lovers shoulder

"I didn't know I was" he added looking at the floor his cheeks slightly pink

"You have to draw me when we get back to our room" Erwin's head shot up, and his eyes connected with yours, his face red. You burst out laughing at the unintended innuendo, armin just quietly laughed at Erwin's embarrassment.

The door to the room opened and in came Levi followed by Hans, Levi immediately sat beside you and began looking over the pictures

"Miss (y/n)... I have something to tell you" you looked up at himand gave a soft smile

"what is it?" you questioned, he took a deep breath and slowly expelled it again

"I ... am your brother"
