Bruce:
You'd forgotten to dye your hair the past few days and guess what was showing? Your blonde roots. You'd hoped Bruce wouldn't notice as you pulled it back into a high ponytail and stuck a pencil in it. "(Y/n), You're here early!" Bruce chuckles, walking in.

"Is that okay?" You smile back playfully. "Yeah, no problem, I'm actually glad your here, I have some problems I can't get worked out. You wanna try?" He asks, handing you a file.

You take it, looking over the marks. "Oh this is easy!" You laugh sitting on the stool next to him. You pull the pencil from your hair and a fee wisps of hair come free.

Bruce stares at your face happily as you concentrate on the formulas before you. You're so focused on your work that you don't see him shift his gaze to your hair.

You can hear the laughter in his voice as he says your name. "Do you dye your hair sweetie?"

You snap your eyes to him instantly. "Y-yeah... why?"

"Saw your roots, you should go natural. I think it'd look even prettier."

The next day you show up, your hair is it's natural bright blonde, a shocking change from the dark brown it was. Bruce comments on the blonde stereotype and how it doesn't apply to you, the smartest woman he knows.

Clint:
"Hey, (Y/n)! What do you think of a Stark family reunion?" Tony announces as he pops into your room.

"No." You say firmly, glaring at him.

"Awww, why not?" He asks sadly

"You know why. You can invite my parents over Tony, but I refuse to see them." Your icy glare makes him fidget at his spot on your chair.

He looks away. "I'm sorry, is it still that bad with them?"

"Tony they kicked me out, I've never known why they despised me but they do. My step-father started and then dragged my mom into it. I was surprised they let you get my stuff out. How were they when you visited?"

Your cousin smirks. "Annoyingly sweet. I think they were hoping I'd give them money." He gets up after a moment of silence and leaves.

You go back to your book and find yourself quickly engrossed in the story. In the background, you hear mumbling. It isn't until Clint pokes his head in front of your book that you notice him.

"Hey, I've been trying to get your attention for the past couple minutes." He laughs as you look up.

"Sorry, just got lost in the story. Really good book, you should read it."

He rubs the back of his neck and let's out a short laugh. "Yeah... so I was walking by earlier and heard you and Tony talking about your family. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything's grea-"

"Don't lie to me." He interrupts.

"My parents aren't the greatest people. They kicked me out when I had just gotten out of high school. I had to find a job and a place to stay pretty quickly. I called Tony because I'd found out a year before that we were related. At first he didn't remember me, then when he did he sent some money and took care of me.

"He actually cares and he's been my guardian since. Uncle Howard is my mother's older brother so that's why Tony and I don't share the same last name. But anyways, Tony's been understanding. He even went to my mom and step-dad's house and got my stuff. After my mother married Joe when I was eight, everything went downhill for me."
