Juvias POV

The sand feels great!! I can't believe that this is my first time. The air feels warm; and crisps as I try to get up. How do humans do this?? I think as I attempt to copy the human way of walking.

Ha! I think as I am standing; but my legs are shaking really bad. My legs go out as I get ready to fall back down. I close my eyes waiting for the impact of sand.

I don't feel anything. I slowly open my eyes to see a man! Except he looks just like Gray!! Same black hair; and grey eyes.

He has a beautiful smile on his face. I look to see that he has his arm wrapped around me so I don't fall.

My heart beat pumps out of control as I look at his handsome face. His hands are so warm. I feel the blood rush to my cheeks.

He is wearing a blue outfit. I look down to see that I'm also wearing clothes. A dress is what I believe it's called. It's a light blue dress. It's really pretty.

"Miss are you okay?" Gray says. Even in my dreams he is a gentlemen. "Juvia is fine; and thank you." I say as I step out of his arms.

I frown a little at the loss of contact. He smiles my favorite smile; and says "Well I just saw a beautiful woman who was about to fall." Then he winks at me.

He is very smooth. Wait a minute Juvia this is just a dream.  I can do anything here. So I giggle; and say "My hero!" He laughs then says "Come on let's get you inside." I nod as he holds out his arm me.

I try not to show how bad my legs are shaking. This is much different than a tail. I trip up a couple of times; but all he does is hold my waist tighter so I don't fall.

"So where are you from?" He asks while we walk. I smile and say "Is it that obvious that I'm not from around here?" I pout a bit I was hoping to be able to blend in with the humans.

He chuckles and it's such a gorgeous sound. He throws his head back as he laughs. Laughing with his whole body.He looks relaxed. His smile is something else; and when his eyes crinkle. Man does he look good.

"So what's your name?" I ask him as we finally make it to our destination. It's a huge castle by the sea. Wait I've seen this castle before!! When I go up to the surface.

"My name is... He Begins to fade away as I begin to wake up.

I felt something tickle my nose. I woke up to see a fish! It's so cute it is a mix of blue and gray. It reminds me of a certain man in my dreams.

I wonder why Gray was in my dreams. I mean he did save me so I guess that could mean he is my knight in shiny armor. Or my prince on a horse.

I hold out my hand to the fish as he slowly swims to it. I carefully stand up with the fish in my hands. I quickly brush my hair;and teeth.

After that I walk out of my room. Gray is already there with a fish of his own. His is a blue color; but it's blue. Also it's a girl fish.

So we both woke up with fishes. My fish goes out of my hand as it approaches Grays fish.

She slowly swims towards him. Then they both play as they swim together. Gray and I both laugh as they chase each other around.

"Hello Gray." I say as we both start swimming down the hall.

"Good morning Princess." He says giving me a mischievous smile.

I huff; and cross my arms over my chest as I say "Juvia said to call me Juvia, not Princess." I said princess with so much venom.

Gray flinches a little; but says "Sorry Juvia I forgot besides its kind of weird not calling you princess."

We continue in silence. I turn to the library to look for a new book. Gray sighs as we come in. I know how much he hates it here. Oh well I am the Princess.

After a bit I find the right book so I grab it; bring it to the front desk. Marty sits there as I bring him the book. When he sees the fishes he looks stunned.

"Your highness do you know what those fish are?" I shake my head and so does Gray. "Where did you find them?" He asks while looking for a book.

Gray says "While I found this one nudging my nose." He points to the girl blue fish. Marty nods then says "What about you highness?"

"Same as Gray; but the blue gray fish." I say. Marty studies Gray and I for a second then says "I can't believe it." He finally finds his book. It's on sea folk tales.

Then he says "Do you two know the tale of the Mermaid; and her prince?" When he said that my throat tightens. I had a dream about that. Gray and I shake our heads.

Marty says "Okay so what happened is there was a mermaid named Kirsten. She was a wild; and kind ruler. She was obsessed with the earth people. All Kirsten wanted was to join them. There was a man who drowned one day. That's how she met him. He was on a ship; and he drowned."

After he said that I thought of myself. I loved the human world. I wonder how this story will end.

"She saved him knowing she could be caught. Her heart was kind; and she swam him to the shore. There Kirsten laid him on the sand. This made her happy because she was on land. Kirsten stayed with him for a bit; but she always kept watch to make sure no one caught her."

"Finally the man woke up; and was shocked to see her hovering over him. He freaked out when he saw her tail. She didn't like that so she was about to go back into the ocean. He stopped her though; and apologized for freaking out. They sat; and talked for hours. About each other. There likes, dislikes, where they live. They didn't want to leave each other so they made a meeting spot. It was a quite place where they could meet and not worry about anyone finding them."

"To this day we still don't know where the meeting place is. After them doing this for three years the man told her "I can't do this anymore. I want to see you everyday. I want you by my side." Then he got down on one knee and proposed. She was very surprised; and she wanted to join him. She told him she would become human for him."

"They were over joyed as they made plans to meet there for the last time. Kirsten went to the sea ceremony where you can pick what you want to be. She chose human. Then she swam up to shore; and went to there hiding spot. In there haste for being together they didn't notice the other person; and they fell in the water."

"The person came from the water; and cursed them. They will forever wander the sea in love; but as fish."

Immediately Gray and I looked at our fish. Then looked back at Marty. He nods saying we're right.

"Wait; but why did you seem so surprised about them Marty?" He smiles and says "The fish only show themselves to people who love each other." Immediately I was blushing. Gray kept a straight face; but you could see a light dusting of pink.

"No way Gray and Juvia aren't lovers." Marty says "Why else would these fish pick you?"

Gray and I stay quite. "Exactly." Says Marty as we both exit the library. The fish are still following us.

"Gray what do you think about what Marty said?" I ask him while swimming.

Gray says "Honestly I don't know Juvia."

It was silent after that.
