"Okay so, hopefully, we're just going sign this deal and be on your way," Ricõ says as we're walking to the meeting room. "Nice ensemble, by the way, you look nice."
I look down and I can't say how many times I love the white gold Rolex on my wrist right now.
"Thank you, nice suit." I point to the navy blue suit he's wearing with some very nice shoes might I add, and he wasn't wearing anything yellow or his usual cap he had his hair greased back and parted on the side that sleeked back into a low bun.
"Thanks, but even if you don't sign with Republic, you both still have a contract meeting with XO which is, later on, today so you have enough time to change if you want to."
I'm actually really excited about touching with my career roots. Bri and I were supposed to start with XO. The only reason why we couldn't was because we were beginning college and our parents wanted us to specifically focus on school, but we tried convincing them for a long time and when they did say yes, the deal was already off the table.
We walk towards a meeting room with two big glass doors, Ricõ opens one of the doors before I walked in a room seeing Calvin, a big man who looked like he could be Joel Osteen's twin.
"Hi Andilyn, how are you this morning?" Calvin asks smiling at the both of us and getting up to shake my hand.
I shake his hand and smile in response. "I'm doing good." I sat down in the chair across for him, Ricõ on my side.
"Okay, so this meeting is long overdue, Andilyn as you know we've been trying to sign you for a very long time now. But I wanted to talk to you about the music you're promoting. I think you're doing a good job, especially as an independent artist, for the music that you've already released."
"But you want to change that, right?" I clarify.
"Yes, but only for the time being, just to get your name out there. Like your song Midnight Dreams and Showers or Problem, I think it would be nice to release more songs of that type. And hopefully, return back to the other music you have sung on your old mixtapes.
