Chapter 23

For the whole day, Rosalie stayed in her room. Fred tried bringing her food but she refused to eat anything. I felt bad for her. I mean, if I was in her position and Logan was Tristan, I would probably feel the same she was feeling. I would probably search the whole word for him until I find him.

The next morning, Logan and Fred decided to go get some groceries for the week to come. I, on the other hand, decided to stay and tried to talk to Rosalie.

I knocked on the door but she didn't answer. Thinking that maybe she was in the bathroom, I opened the door to reveal her seating on the window seal looking out of the window. She was crying her heart out and it tore me apart seeing her like that.

"Rose," I said softly taking a chair and placing it near the window seal facing her. "Are you okay?" I asked before I could even think. 'How stupid of you, Bella! Of course she's not okay. She just lost the love of her life and when she tries to find him you just have to ruin it for her.' My conscience told me.

She shook her head looking so lost and heart broken. I stood up from the chair and pulled her into a hug. She rested her head on my chest and cried her little heart out. 'I feel so guilty!'

"I'm so sorry, Rose. I really am but there's no other way." I apologized rubbing her back soothingly as she shakes her head and pulled away from the hug. She stared at me and shot me a forced smile.

"I understand." She whispered her voice hoarse. "I do, but I just thought that I would see him again. I guess I put my hopes up for nothing."

"Hey, don't say that." I said taking her by the shoulders. "Did you know how long I've been waiting for Logan to come back?" I asked her as she shook her head.

"Four years. I had to wait four years for him to come back and now here he is. Sometimes, you just have to wait for fate to bring you two together. If you're truly meant to be, then destiny will bring you to him. And you will see him again." I stated encouraging her to never give up.

"Love can be the best and worst thing that could happen to us. Trust me, Rosalie. But I know that one day; you'll see him again and have a happy ending."

"And what if we don't? What if we never have a happy ending?" She asked sobbing quietly.

"Then maybe he's not the one. Maybe, you two will find the right person you truly love." I tried to reassure her as she continues to cry. I felt pity for this girl. She couldn't even be with the person she truly loves and now she's going to marry a guy she never knew about. She didn't deserve a life like this, nobody does. I just hope that one day she'll be able to control her own life.

When Logan and Fred came back, they asked me about Rosalie. She stayed at her room and she wouldn't come out no matter how hard we tried. I guess that's what love can do to a person.

"I feel so bad. Was I wrong? Should we really stop the mission just because..." I told Logan when we were in bed ready to sleep.

"It's not your fault, Bella. You are just trying to save people's lives." Logan assured me cupping my cheeks with his hands.

"But I'm willing to let my brother die. What kind of a sister am I? And not only that; I'm separating him and the girl he loves." I said guiltily resting my head on Logan's chest.

"Listen to me, Bella, none of this is your fault. Fred and I are trying to figure out a way to find Tristan and at the same time keeping Chase, Sally and Amber safe. You just have to trust us, okay?" I nodded my head and let sleep take over me as Logan caressed my cheek soothingly.

"Morning." Logan greeted shooting me a warm smile as soon as I entered the kitchen. He was sitting on the island drinking coffee while Fred was cooking some eggs and bacon.

"Morning." I greeted back. "Hey, Fred." I added.

"Hey, Bells. How was your sleep?" He asked flipping a scramble egg using the pan.

"Fine." I smiled.

"Hey." A soft delicate voice greeted from behind. I twirled around only to find Rosalie giving us a small smile.

"I'm so glad you finally came out." Logan commented pulling her into a hug.

"I'm glad I'm back too." She said pulling away from the hug and looking at me with a warm smile on her face. "Thanks to Bella." She turned her head back to Logan. "So you better not mess this up. She's a keeper."

"I know." Logan agreed pulling me to his side. "That's why I love her." He claimed kissing the top of my head making me blush.

"Why don't we celebrate then?" Fred butted in placing the eggs and bacon on a big plate. "Breakfast everyone?" He suggested taking plates and utensils placing them on the table.

"Dig in." Logan beamed when we all sat down and ate.

I couldn't help but grin. We were all so happy. I hope it last long. I love them; Logan, Rosalie, and even Fred even though we only met a few days ago. These people are my family, including Sally, Chase, Amber, and my brother, Tristan.

I know we'll find my brother and I know just what to do. I came up with it last night and it might not be the best plan but I'm sure it'll work without anyone getting hurt.
