The blue lake reflects her small features like little buttons on a sweater.

Long strokes of watery tears fall down her cheek like the rain on a stormy day.

She lifts her chin up ever so slightly. Her eyelashes pop up and down as she blinks letting out yet another tear,

"... no one told me I had to figure this out all by myself."
