CLEAR

My whole body jolted, eyes snapping open to a blinding darkness, muscles spasming, lungs snatching for air with fumbling, direct fingers. White sliced through my retinas as my heavy tongue lulled behind chapped lips, struggling to select words to spit at whoever had sent this painful buzz through me. I tried to focus, but my eyes kept rolling back, while my ears failed to translate the shouts around me. Suddenly it hit me. What I had done. Where I was. Pain. Oh my God the pain. Flames licked up my leg from toe to thigh. Fuck, I'm on fire. A scream dribbled from my mouth and soaked the air. I remembered being half awake in the ambulance while pills were shoved in my mouth and forcibly shoved down my throat while a needle slid into my vein.

Hands... So many damn hands branching off into fingers, that caressed, opened, poked and shoved. My mouth was invaded as pills were put in my mouth to numb my pain. My whole body heaved as bile clogged up my oesophagus, choking me. I gargled on the disgusting mucus, rolling my head sideways attempting at expelling the substance from my throat. The fingers returned, scooping at the vomit, contorting my body into a position where I could finally gasp a painful breath before dissolving back into a tenebrous cloak of obscure lucid dreams.

Thump.
