3 years ago- Leah's POV

She was alone now. All alone. The only things that kept her company were her tears and her TV. She was shattered and broken beyond repair, but she always was a fucked up mess wasn't she? She drove the one person she loved out of her life, for good. She wasn't good enough for anyone was she? That's why he left, because she didn't deserve him. Luke had left a month ago and since then, well she's changed drastically.
She sat up in her bed furiously wiping away her tears. Just when someone finally started caring about her they had to leave. She rolled her eyes at herself for crying. It was stupid, he was stupid, and everything was fucking STUPID! She threw an empty bottle of beer at the wall smashing the bottle and sending glass everywhere. She frowned at what she had become. Ever since he left her life has been shit. She's been drinking and partying with, minimal clothing on to say the least. Her phone buzzed indicating a call. Without thinking she answering it.
Hey, we haven't talked since I left and I just wanted to say sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that I know you were just sad I was leaving. I regret not saying good-bye to you because I fucking miss you so much. I don't expect a reply and if I do get one I know it won't be nice, but there's something I need to say. I love you and I always have. No, I don't mean the kind of friendly love best friends share, I mean like love you, like I want to hold you and kiss you so fucking bad right now.
She buried her face in her hands and let out choked sobs. She couldn't forgive him and she never would. In fact, she hung up and blocked his number. She stood up from her bed and looked at her creased black dress. It was so tiny, if she lifted up her arms you could see her butt. She stormed out of her room and got in her car, headed straight for a bar. She was underage, and having a fake ID was the only way she could get in. Luckily, she arrived with no trouble and went in looking for a one night stand that would erase Luke from her mind, for a little while at least. She sat at the bar and watched people dance. That's when a man sat next to her.
"You don't look happy." He chuckled.
She shot him daggers with her eyes.
"Because I'm not." She snappily said, averting her gaze to the mans body.
He was casually dressed and had beard. He
had blonde hair that was curly and honestly kind of adorable.
"I'm Jack." He stated ordering the two a beer.
"Don't waste your money me." She said in annoyance.
"How about if I buy you a beer, you tell me your story." He said sending her a smile.
"Why would I do that?" She asked throwing him a disapproving glare.
"Because I know you have nothing better to do, and I think talking to me is better than hooking up with a random guy who could very likely have a STD." He said smiling.
She wanted nothing more than to wipe that smile off his perfect face. His blue eyes were just as captivating as Luke's.
"You still haven't told me your name." He said tapping his fingers on the bar counter.
"Leah."
"Pretty name." He said taking a sip of his beer.
"Look, I don't even-."
"Stop right there, let's talk about you. Why are you here?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"God, your fucking persistent." She groaned.
"And I won't stop being persistent until I get what I want." He said smirking.
So she opened up to a complete stranger at a random bar, and strangely enough felt really comfortable with him. He invited her to his house after and she agreed to it because she thought she could trust him. Keyword is thought, because really she couldn't at all. He took advantage her, like every one else. But he left a deeper scar than Luke did. She ended up being pregnant. After this, she was a right old mess with her thoughts swirling everywhere. She was fucking 17 she couldn't give birth! She couldn't confine to anyone about this because she had no one. Her loneliness clung to her like superglue; and wouldn't let go. She was so empty and had no clue what to do. So, instead of taking action she just tried to forget about it. Like, if she forgot she was pregnant would she still give birth? That answer is yes, and eventually her bump started showing. Within this time she had made a friend, one who was just as fucked up as her. Her name was Mia. She opened up about what happened to Mia and Mia didn't take advantage of her in fact, Mia helped her more than anyone, even her own fucking mother, could've. She was still confined to her thoughts though and couldn't wait until she was 18 and could leave this deadbeat town. Constant thoughts jumbled her brain; "why did he do this?" "How come I couldn't even stand up for myself?" "Why is life such a bitch?". She hated feeling alone and just wanted to move out of her home and make her mark on this world. But, that goddamn baby prevented that from ever happening. She was terrified to get an abortion and felt like such a horrible person for even thinking about killing her baby. As much as she didn't want to, she would birth the baby and let it grow up learning from her mothers mistakes. She tried to be strong in front of Mia because she felt like a burden. Underneath her calm and content exterior, she was a mess. She was so scared of giving birth and how it would feel, and how her baby would look. She hoped that her child looked nothing like the man that raped her.
She was relying on fate. Her parents always told her that god plans a path for you the second your born into this world. She wanted nothing more than fate to come and save her. She scoffed at herself for thinking fate was some magical cure to all her problems.

She believed that fate would only fuck you from behind from then on, not realizing that fate would eventually find its way to her and save her.

3 years ago- Luke's perspective
He sat with his head in his hands as his bands tour bus rolled along down the road. His thoughts consisted of nothing but her. He was devastated at how his phone call had went with her. He heard her painful cries and felt like the biggest dick in the world. If anyone ever found out what he said to her, he would be toast.
At this point, he was hopeless. He had loved her ever since he met her for fucks sake. And now? Well he never imagined she would talk to him again.
His mind was blank, his body was motionless, and even as Michael attempted numerous times to comfort him, he didn't know how to feel. The bus occasionally hit a bump and Luke was snuggled in his bunk just staring at the top of it. Every time someone said her name it reminded him of what he had done. He didn't know how to feel, so his mind remained solely on that girl.
His eyes wondered at the brown interior of his small bunk, wondering what he ever did to deserve this. The dimness of his tiny bunk made it impossible to see anything but the tan curtains that flooded with yellow light when they open. He felt alone, and so fucking guilty. He was on his way to another country with his three best friends which was fucking amazing.
Although he acted super excited, he was scared. He was scared of a lot of things, actually, he always had been. He was even more scared as he lay alone in a tiny space with only his thoughts.
He couldn't take it anymore, the silence was deafening to him.
His thoughts swirled and he thought back to what happened maybe a month ago. He was so angry with her. He was just ticked off that she wouldn't let him go and live his dream. He wondered if their even was such a thing called 'freedom'
"Jesus Luke, get a grip." Michael muttered, poking his head into his bunk.
"Yeah, it sucks you had to leave her behind, and I know it's killing you that you never said good-bye but we have a dream to follow and we can't do that if you don't get off your ass and rehearse with us." Michael said closing the curtain and leaving.
He almost wanted to laugh. Luke could never get a grip on anything for christ sake. Luke was never as strong as he put himself out to be. He was to fragile to get a grip on anything, mainly his life. He was more than tired of being a delicate guy and maybe that's why he lashed out at Leah. He was getting nowhere just sitting in his bunk, sulking.
He had been sitting in his bunk for hours now, not having the will to leave it. He knew he should be with his bandmates right now but he just physically missed her. He was contemplating what he would even say to them once he did leave his bunk. He put his hand in his blonde fringe and just ran his fingers through it before sighing. He slowly got out of his bunk, stretching his long, lanky legs. He looked around the bus to find Michael and Calum playing video games.
"Look who's alive!" Calum said with an overly exaggerated surprised face.
"Oh my god." Michael said gasping, and rolling off the couch onto the floor.
"Shut up guys." Luke said pulling a fake laugh as he sat down on the couch with them.
It was warm and cozy inside the bus. He glanced out his window to see that they were on their way to LA. Luke had never been in America before and was amazed at how different it was.
"You feeling better?" Michael asked Luke while he shot a zombie.
"Uh, yeah I'm feeling fine." Luke said, his gaze still locked on the window.
"We perform for 3,000 people tomorrow." Calum said nervously.
"Yeah but we will do fine." Michael shrugged.
"As always." Luke said smiling.
And with that their conversation ended. Luke went silent, not wanting to make any more conversation because he feared they saw straight through his fake laughs and smiles. He watched them murder zombies as he just sat there, lost in his thoughts. His mind went back to the day he left, as usual.
He's a scared, scared boy, who doesn't know what's in store for him. Luke likes knowing what will happen and when but, things like love don't exactly plan to happen.
He's always been told to let things go, but has never been able to. How does one just...let go?
How can someone just forget what's happened to them? Or what they've done? To Luke, the thought of forgetting things and focusing on his future was crazy, and terrifying. There are so many ways someone can screw up or things that can happen to a person. Luke had no intentions of forgetting about Leah.

Because why would he interrupt fates course.
