Melanie Jones was a normal girl 7th grade shoulder length red hair and freckles and also braces. Before the virus came and wiped out half the earths population her friends called her Mel. And now she sits alone against the only tree she's seen in 5 miles thinking about how different Mel Jones and Melanie Jones are. Mel does what she wants and doesn't think about consequences where as Melanie follows the rules and spends most of her time over thinking, Mel plays is the star of the basketball team and the soccer team Mel only cares about getting good grades so she can continue playing sports, Melanie took care of her baby sister and 9 year old brother. And then there's the girl sitting against the tree who has completely lost herself and her identity she goes by M J now Mel and Melanie are no longer here. These are the kind of thoughts you have in an apocalypse, but M J has only begun to think this way after giving up. Giving up on finding an orthodontist. For she is the last brace face.
