There was only one bar in the small town of Hoonah. And in that small bar was a single bartender, Isabelle. Her long brown hair and shining brown eyes hypnotized everybody that came through the doors. She was a small girl and a sweetheart, but when need be; she was one bad ass bitch who you wouldn't dare mess with.

It was a quiet night at the bar. All the regulars had gone home and the place was empty. Isabelle was busying herself cleaning up, waiting to see if any customers would come in. She watched through the window as people walked by. A few who she knew waved, making her smile. She loved this little town and the close community they had.

Isabelle stopped what she was doing when she heard the bell above the door ring. In stumbled a group of three men. They had clearly been drinking already and she did not like the look of them. They surely weren't getting any more drinks from her.

"Guys, I'm going to have to ask you to leave," she said, stepping out from behind the bar.

She stood with her arms crossed over her chest, not letting them come any farther into the establishment.

"Aww come on, honey! We just want some drinks!" the first man slurred.

"Well I'm sorry to say you can't get those here. Not today anyways," she replied, standing her ground.

The second man stepped forward and stood right in front of her, towering over her. She didn't flinch, looking him right in the eye and challenging him.

"We are paying customers. You will give us our drinks," he practically growled at her.

"I work in this establishment and I reserve the right to deny you drinks," she told him.

"You'll get me a drink whether you like it or not."

"No I won't," she said. "Now I suggest you leave before I call the police."

The men made no move to leave and Isabelle went to reach for the phone. Just as she did, the third man in the ground grabbed her around the waist.

"What do you think you're doing?" he asked her.

She slapped and punched him, but he had quite the grip on her. She was getting in some good hits, but knew she was no match for him.

"Let's teach her a lesson or two about treating men right," the second man said.

All three men surrounded her now and began ripping at her clothes. She kicked and spit and punched with all her might, not wanting to be subjected to the sexual abuse that was bound to happen. Right as they were about to violate her, she heard a shout from the doorway.

The three men turned to look at the man standing in the doorway. They had a deer in the headlights look, knowing they had been caught. Isabelle sighed a breath of relief when she saw who was standing there. It was one of the Brown boys, her best friend, the youngest to be exact. Noah was standing there breathing heavily, his face red. He was angry.

"I suggest you leave right now," he grunted.

The men let go of Isabelle, causing her to fall to the ground with a thump. They ran out the door. She struggled to her feet and hid behind the bar, hiding her exposed body from Noah. As Noah approached the bar, she found herself shaking and stepping back a bit.

"Hey, you know me Izzy. I'm not going to hurt you," he said, holding his hands up in defense.

He shrugged his trench coat off and held it out for her. She grabbed it and put it on, covering herself up. It engulfed her and draped down her body but at least she was covered. As she looked at Noah, tears rushed to her eyes. She ran out from behind the bar and wrapped her arms around him. He was a little shocked at first, not so used to having this much contact with a female. But she had just gone through a traumatic experience. He squeezed her close to his body and rubbed his hands up and down her back, trying to silence her crying.

"If you hadn't come..." she trailed off.

"Shhh, all that matters is that it didn't happen," he tried to reassure her.

She pulled back from the hug and looked him in the eyes. "Noah, I can't thank you enough," she breathed out.

"You don't have to thank me, darling. I would do anything for you."

She pressed herself back into his chest and took a deep breath, relaxing when she took in his pine scented clothing. Noah's arms were soothing to be wrapped up in. If it was up to her, she'd be wrapped up in his arms every day. Because he was her best friend. Her savior. Her Noah.
