Chapter 5

"Here you go Lila" i said placing a flower crown on her head, she squealed happily and i laughed at her happy expression

"Thank you so much!! i love it, i could never do it right" she said hugging me as i hugged her back, our moment was cut off by screams

What the heck?

I grabbed Lilia hands and i pulled her close as i got up

"Stay close" I said and rushed back inside the house me and Lila was making flower crowns in our mothers garden in the backyard

"Mom!!" I screamed

whats happening?

"Im scared Angel" Lila said tugging my arm back, her green eyes wide with fear

"Dont worry, ill always protect you" my fourteen year self promised to a nine year old Lila

I woke up with a jerk and closed my eyes, sometimes even the good memories haunts me

I moved around a bit only to tense, why is there so little space? I picked my head up and relaxed oh yeah, we're in a car, I put my head back where it was buried in the neck of Hades

I was on top of Hades but to the side, i had one leg hitched across his hips, one of my hands tangled im his hair and my other hand is laying under Hades cheek, his face snuggling more into my plam, his arm is laid down on the car floor and his arm is around my waist loosely

I reluctantly untangle my hand from his hair and leaned on my elbow and placed my face on my plam as i started at Hades

How can i trust him as easily as i did?

I ran my eyes over his face he looks like a kid when he's asleep
I stayed staring at him for awhile then moved ever so slowly off him, I threw myself back in the driver's seat and peek over to see that he is still asleep, I need to pee badly, I open the door and stepped out softly closing the door
Luckly Hades didn't felt the machete on my back when he's pressed my upper back, its placed sideways, I don't want him to know about it, the machete bring me back to a the time where I wish never was true, it was my sisters machete everytime I look at it I just wants to kill..
And that's not me

I did my business behind another car so if Hades wake up he doesn't see me squatting down

ugh.... embarrassing

Once i was done I walked over towards the car Hades in zipping up my pants

When i brough my head up i saw a silhouette in the endless road, the sun was just coming up, so it was difficult to see
The figure kept coming closer and closer as if it was.........running

I stayed there squinting my eyes trying to get a better view
Is someone being chased by zombies?

My eyes widen as i saw the figure more and more

Its a runner!!

It was a zombie. A damn zombie is running with his arms quickly going up and down to give him more speed, my heart was beating so hard as it got close

I shook out of my shock as i screames for Hades, i ran towards the white car that jerked

"HADE-" i didn't finshed as i was tackled to the ground, i quickly threw my on of my arms towards its neck and and the other towards its shoulder and with all my strength, i tried to keep the thing from bitting me
But it was impossible. It was to strong, its teeth barley scrapping my nose

I crossed my eyes to look at me nose,
No cut...

No blood...

Good, im good, shit that was. a close one, out of nowhere the zombie was ripped off me
I looked up and saw Hades throwing the zombie towards a car and landing on the ground with a thud

"Shit, are you okay!" He asks me crouching down to my level and expecting me up and down

"HADES!!" I screamed as the zombie got back up and ran towards us, Hades quickly got up and ran towards the zombie
And with one hand stretched out, he swung his fist towards the zombie

The zombie wenr flying as Hades fist connected, it landed on the ground with a thud and stayed there unmoving

"What. The. Fuck. Angel" he gritted out, his jaw clenched tight

"I think i pooped myself"

"You shouldn't have fucking gotten out the car without fucking telling me!!" he yelled outraged

"False alarm, it was just the chocholate" i said taking the chocholate out of my pants and threw it aside

Poor chocholate

"ANGEL!!" he roared

"Im sorry okay" i said tears rolling down my face, i got up and walked over to the car we were resting in

"Angel-"

"I know i should have woken you, sorry" i said interrupting him, i grabbed my bag and the other bag

"Are we leaving now" i asked

He stared at me for a couple of moments

"Yeah" he grabbed his bag and we began to walk, he slipped his hand into mine and squeezed

"Lesson learned Angel"

I nodded my head agreeing to what he was saying, that was really scary

"Wanna play 21 questions" i asked after a couple of moments of silence

"No"

I started to swing our hands

"Lets play i spy with my little eye"

He didnt say anything, just kept on walking, allowing me to swing our hands

"I spy with my little eye something blue!"

"The sky" he said back instantly

"Good! Your turn" i repiled happily

"I spy with my little eye something yellow"

"Oh......Oh.... i know" i totally got this

"Go ahead your the only person here" he said stealing a glance at ne

"The sun" i repiled

"Good girl"

We kept on playing until we reached a sign that says

'Welcome to new jersey"

"Oh look!" I said squealing

"I cant believe i walked a whole state" i said amaze looking over to Hades

"We didnt walk- what im i going to do with you" he said not finishing what he was gonna say

Hades dragged us towards the 'exit 87' sign

"I though we were going to rhode island" i asked

If we take this street we will be entering new jersey

"I dont want to fucking walk no more, and i dont want your pretty legs to tire on me so we are going to raid some house, find some keys and get a ride"

"Oh okay" i said my face slightly red
