Steve's POV (the next day)
The next day after I dropped Jenna off at school I head to the headquarters. I had a lot of work to do. The killer left next to no tracks for us to trace, but that won't stop me. I walk over to the computer table and search for recent snake purchases. Then I ran all the results for a criminal record and that narrowed it down. I should drive by Jenna's school and ask if she knows any of these people. I think to myself. I hear the door open, and Chin and Kono walk in.
"Why are you hear so early Steve?" Chin asks.
"I just have a lot of work to do." I explain to them.
"Did you find anything out about who might've done it?" Kono asks.
"Yeah actually I was just about to run down to Jenna's school and see if she knows any of these people." I say.
"Okay let us know if anything comes up." Kono replies.
"Okay I will." I say then I walk out the door.
Jenna's POV
This morning after Steve dropped me off at school I went straight to my best friend of 5 years, Alyssa, and told all about everything that happened yesterday after I left school.
"So your mom's gone?" Alyssa asks, I nod my head holding back tears, "oh Jen I'm so sorry." She says as she hugs me.
"Thanks," I wipe tears from my eyes as I say that, "But the police say that they are going to find and catch who did this to my mom. So that's reassuring, I guess..." Suddenly Steve shows up.
"Hey Jenna," Steve says. "Look I know your busy but I need your help on the case."
"Okay I'll help any way I can."I answer, "Alyssa this is the police officer I told you about."
"Oh okay cool." Alyssa replies. After she says that the bell rings, "I better head to class see you later Jenna."
"'K," I say to her as I wave goodbye then I turn to Steve. "What'd you need my help with?"
"We think we might've narrowed down the suspects but we need you to tell us if your mom knew any of these people." Steve tells me as he hands me a list full of names.
"That one," I say as I skim the list pointing to the only name that looks familiar.
"Okay, where'd she know her from?" He asks me.
"Umm, they worked together." I explain, "my mom said they were close to a break through on a big discovery down at the beach. She just needed to run a few more tests... do you think someone killed her because of what she found?"
"I'm not sure," he answers. "But this is really helpful thank you. You better hurry to class, just tell them you were helping with a case that Five-0 is working I'm sure they'll understand."
"Okay see you later," I say before hesitating, "will you give me any updates you get as you get them?"
"Of course." He says then starts walking towards the door, then I head to class.
