I woke up and saw Lucas looking up at the ceiling
"You okay Huckleberry?"
"Yeah just waiting for you to wake up"
"You could have gotten up how long have you been awake?"
"15 minutes"
"I'm sorry for yelling at you"
"That doesn't matter. What matters is that your here with me and you won't be leaving anytime soon"
We turned on the TV and sat there just enjoying each other's presence. I was safe. No one, nothing could ever hurt me.
I was free.
