EMBRACE

Mitch stared at his feet as he and Jerome walked together. Every now and then, he glanced at the other who looked back at him. He flushed, face bright red. The bacca chuckled and wrapped an arm around Mitch, pulling him closer.

"J-Jerome," Mitch started.

"Biggums, it’s a hug," Jerome interrupts him, looking Mitch in the eye.

Mitch nods, “I was going to say, I love you.” His blush darkens.

Jerome is quiet for a minute. “I love you too, Mitch.”

Jerome hugs Mitch, the other pausing for a moment before returning the embrace.

"Jerome?" Mitch says, lifting his head off of the bacca’s shoulder.

"Yeah, Mitch?" 

Mitch’s response was to press his lips against the other’s, kissing him. It seemed to last a lifetime before they pulled apart.

At that moment, they couldn’t be any happier.
