I Miss You

Part 10

Shawn's POV

I hear the guys shouting down at the beach.

I step out onto the porch to watch.

"Hey! I have short legs!" A girl shouts chasing after Matt.

Wait, Fairy always would say that.

I look closer.

No way.

It can't be.

I hear something crack. Loudly.

Cam's POV

Matt and Fairy are running back towards the fire.

I hear a loud cracking noise.

"Guys did you here that?" I say.

Then we hear a scream.

"That came from out cabin!" Nash says sprinting towards it.

We all follow after.

"Guys! The railing broke!" Fairy says pointing.

"Cam!" Shawn shouts.

"We're coming buddy!" I shout hurdling a branch.

Fairy got to him first.

"Where does it hurt?" She says kneeling next to him.

"I think I'm fine." Shawn says sitting up.

"You did land on sand." Fairy says helping him up.

"Let's get you inside." Matt says.

We all walk up the porch steps and inside.

"You're bleeding." I say pointing to Shawn's head.

"I'll clean you up." Fairy says grabbing his wrist and leading him to the bathroom.

Once the bathroom door closes Matt speaks up.

"That's the girl." Matt says.

"What?" Kenya, Nash and I say at the same time.

"Two years ago she moved away, never talked to Shawn again, the girl that kissed him at the airport. They both just don't realize it yet." Matt says.

"I'm confused." Kenya says.

"Ask Fairy later." Matt says.

She nods.

Shawn's POV

This girl leads me to the bathroom. She's really sweet.

"Sit on the toilet lid so I can see it better." She says pulling on the first aid kit.

I sit down and watch her.

"This may hurt." She says dabbing stuff on my forehead.

I close my eyes.

"It's not too bad." She says.

I open my eyes.

"Look." She says holding up a mirror.

I nod.

"You're a quiet one." She says.

"Sometimes, what's your name?" I ask as she gently puts a band aid on my forehead.

"No, you first." She says smiling.

"Shawn." I say.

She pauses and stares at me.

"Fairy." She says quietly, still staring at me.

I'm still sitting on the toilet lid.

My eyes widen. I stand up.

"Why did you ignore?" I ask.

"I couldn't do it anymore." Fairy mumbles.

"And you thought I could?!" I say raising my voice.

 "If I told you, you would've quick magcon. I thought it would be easier. I missed you like crazy. I didn't want to hurt you." She says. 

"But you still did! I didn't know where you were! You just left me! My mom wouldn't tell me anything, I didn't know if you were alright! I went to bed every night worrying and thinking about you. I think about you every time I'm on stage in front of a million people. It was not easier this way! I couldn't talk to you about the randomest things, I couldn't hug you when you were crying, I couldn't practice my songs with you!" I say frustrated.   

 "Shawn, I didn't know what to do. My dad had to move to Wisconsin. I couldn't stay behind! I saw how famous you were getting. I don't know I thought you wouldn't have time for me. I just cut off communication early so I wouldn't see you getting more and more famous right in front of me. You would forget me." Fairy says.  

"I called you every fucking day! You just wanted to forget about me!" I yell.

The bathroom door swings open.

Fairy runs passed Matt.

"What the hell man. She probably has reasons." Matt says softly.

The screen door slams.

"Fairy! It's pouring out!" Cam yells.

Matt stares at me.

I brush past him. 

"Go get her." Matt says.

"It's really raining." Cam says peaking out the window.
