"Come on Bruce! Race me!" I said loudly at Bruce as I started running, Bruce chased after me, "Come on Thomas! You had a head start, no fair!" Bruce yelled at me. Thomas Wayne Senior and Martha Wayne watched them and smiled "I think the boys enjoyed the movie Tom." Mrs. Wayne said to her husband who had his arm wrapped hers, he looked at the boys racing and playing tag and smiled "I think so, Zorro and all that Soda and Popcorn can make any kid get playful." He said to her and they both laugh and keep walking making sure to keep the boys in their point of view. As Thomas Jr and Bruce were running around playing tag Bruce ran into someone, and as Bruce fell Thomas Jr saw him fall and quickly ran over to him "Bruce, are you alright?" I asked him and he looked at me "Yeah, Tom I'm okay." He said to me, then we looked at the person Bruce ran into and it turned out to be a Police Officer who didn't look too happy about getting ran into. He was wearing a classic blue police uniform with a belt holding a baton, a gun, ammo, and etc as all cops in the city do, he looked at us with an angry face and said with a deep voice "Watch where you're going, and why the hell are you two boys running alone by yourself? Don't you have your parents with you?" me and Bruce looked at each other a little scared from the officer. Mr and Mrs. Wayne saw the officer with their children and quickly rushed over "What's the meaning of this?" Thomas Wayne Senior asked the Police Officer with a tone of anger in his voice and Martha put a hand on his shoulder "Tom, calm down, I'm sure it's a misunderstanding." She said calmly  to him and he nodded and looked at the officer who was looking at Thomas Wayne Senior with a annoyed look "Your son over here ran into me because he wasn't paying attention and made me spill my coffee." He said and pointed at the ground behind him showing a puddle of coffee with a tipped over empty paper cup. "I'm very sorry officer...." He looked at the officer's name-tag and it read "F.Miller" "Officer Miller, I'm very sorry about your coffee and I'll make sure my son Bruce knows what he did. Would you like me to buy you a new cup of coffee?" Thomas Wayne Senior offered and the officer smirked "That'd be great, Thank you. By the way, what's your name sir?" He asked pulling out his small notebook and a pen "Thomas Wayne Senior, and this is my wife Martha and my youngest son is Bruce and the oldest is Thomas Wayne Jr." Thomas Wayne Senior told the officer who wrote the names down but then stopped and looked at Thomas Wayne Senior "Wait, you're Thomas Wayne Senior?" he asked and Thomas Wayne Senior nodded and the officer put his small notebook and pen away "The Police have been trying to contact you lately about a certain case involving your place of work. You're gonna have to come with me so we can go to the station and I ask you a few questions." Officer Miller stated. I looked at my dad "What's going on dad?" I asked him curiously and he looked at me and said "I don't know son." He then looked at Officer Miller and said "I'll go to your station tomorrow morning, not now because I'm with my family." Officer Miller looked at my father with no patience "You'll come now or I'll cuff you and take you by force." He said out of patience, but my father refused again and officer Miller grabbed my father by the wrist and my mother put her hands on officer Miller trying to push him away "Let my husband go!" She yelled as she kept on trying to push him off, by the time Officer Miller had my father on his belly with his hands cuffed behind his back he pulled out his gun and pointed it at my mother and yelled "Lady! Get back or I'll put you down!" my mother froze in fear and raised her hands but she didn't step back and Officer Miller cocked the Hammer on his revolver "Step. Back. Now. Last Chance!" He yelled at her but my mother didn't move, then Officer Miller pulled the trigger. My mom clutched at her stomach and fell to her knees with blood dripping through her fingers and she looked at Officer Miller breathing hard and he pulled the trigger again which hit her head this time and she fell on her back with her head leaning to the right, lifeless. Me and Bruce cried and my father yelled "Martha!!!!" he struggled on the ground but Officer Miller kicked him "Shut up." Bruce looked at me with tears in his eyes and looked at Officer Miller with a rage and got up on his feet and charged at him "Murderer!!!" he yelled as he charged him, but Officer Miller quickly acted and fired a shot and Bruce stopped and fell to his knees and fell forward and a puddle of blood started to form under him, expanding, I stared shocked and horrified and tears started to leave my eyes going down my cheeks and hitting the ground beneath me, my father started to cry and whispered "God no, not Bruce too, please...." he put his forehead to the ground started bawling, making the dirt beneath him mud. He quickly looked at me and with tears in his eyes he yelled "Thomas run!!!!" he then got up and knocked into Officer Miller making him drop his gun and I quickly got up and started to run the other direction. As I was running I could still hear my father yelling "Run Thomas! Run! and as I kept running his voice got more quieter and quieter until there was a point where I didn't hear him anymore. As I was running a familiar voice yelled out "Hey Thomas!!! Over here!" I stopped and looked in the direction where the voice was coming from and I saw my friend Joe Chill sitting on some steps eating a Hotdog with a can of Pepsi next to him, so I quickly ran over and as I got closer Joe sat up noticing the tears in my eyes, he got up and asked "Thomas, what's wrong?" he asked me and I started to cry again and he put a hand on my shoulder "Thomas....what happened?" he asked me again and I looked at him with tears going down my cheeks "M-my mom and brother are dead..." I managed say before crying again and Joe hugged me shocked "I'm so sorry Thomas......but where's your father?" he asked me and I told me him about what happened with officer Miller and Joe looked down and then back at me "Damn corrupted cops, we'll we should get you somewhere safe because they might be looking for you, I know a guy, he owns a bar called the "Owl's Nest" you'll be safe there. Ok?" He said to me and I nodded and he then patted my back and started running and I followed. After a couple hours we finally reached the bar Joe was talking about and instead of going through the front door Joe leaded me behind the bar where there was a steel door, Joe knocked and the door opened a voice was heard "Password." and Joe said "Talon." then the door opened all the way and a very tall and buff guy wearing all black appeared "Come on in Chill, good to see you." he said to Chill as Joe and me walked in and the man closed the door behind us. Me and Joe walked down a long hallway lightened only by the lights hanging from the ceiling which some were flickering, Joe then stopped and turned to a door that said "Boss Gordon" so he then opened the door and walked in and I followed. The room was red, with many pictures of people I didn't and an american flag hanging on it's side, there was also a big oak desk in the middle of the room with a comfy looking leather office chair, then a man appeared he was probably about 46 to 47 years old and had short brown hair with brown eyes that were accompanied by a pair of glasses, but his outfit was something else entirely, he was wearing an all black suit with a white shirt and a dark blue tie, also black suit shoes. He looked at us with a small smile "How may I help you gentlemen? Chill, it's been a while." he said to us and Joe looked at him "Yeah it has, this is my friend, Thomas Wayne Jr." the man then looked wide eyed and asked Joe "Thomas Wayne Jr?! What the hell is he here for?!" he yelled and I stepped back and Joe looked at me "It's okay Thomas." he turned away and looked back at the man "Gordon, please. His father was arrested and his mother and little brother were shot." he said to him. Gordon then went from angry to sad "Oh...I'm really sorry to hear that Thomas, here, you two gentlemen take a seat." Gordon sat in his leather office chair and me and Joe sat in the two chairs facing his desk. Gordon then took out a cigar and put it in his mouth and lit it with a match and shook the match out and flicked it in a metal trashcan next to his feet, he then looked at me and said "I'm sorry about your mom and brother, but why do you come here?" Joe sat up and said "Well, with his father arrested I knew they would be looking for him so I was wondering if he could stay here until they stop looking for him." Gordon nodded "Of course he can stay here, your friends are my friends Joe." he then looked back at me and said "We'll take care of you until the police stop looking for you." I nodded "Thank you Mr. Gordon." I told him and he smiled "Call me Jim."

Me and Joe left Gordon's office and he looked at me and said "Hey, Gordon will take good care of you, and listen to what he tells you, not only he's a successful bar owner he's also a successful businessman who has many connections and knows the way of the trade, so pay attention he'll tech you a lot." I nodded and looked at Joe "Your not staying?" I asked him and he sighed "Sorry Thomas but I have to go to Metropolis to see my family and a potential business deal, but I'll be back, I promise." He told me before he gave me a hug and pulled away and started to walk way, "Joe!" I yelled and he turned around "Be safe!" I yelled and he smiled "You know I will!" he yelled back and left the building and I sighed and I turned around to see Gordon standing there "So Thomas, Joe tells me you're a very smart and gifted young man." he says to me as he puffs on his cigar. "Yes, for being in Middle School I'm a very smart kid from what teachers and my parents tell me." I said to him ignoring the horrible scent of his cigar, he then asked me "Would you like it if I taught you about business?" I thought about it "Yes, but what type of business Jim?" I asked curiously and he smiled and said "The type that will gain you a lot of respect, wisdom, power, and money. Would you like to gain those things Thomas?" He asked me and I thought about it and then he said something else "Take your time to think about it, there's no rush, but if you say yes you can make anyone respect and scared of you, including those corrupted bastards that wear police badges, like Officer Miller." he said "But the choice is yours." he said as he walked away. "Officer Miller.....he'll pay for this....." I whispered angrily to myself and then I ran to Gordon and stopped him "Gordon, please teach me to be feared and respected." I asked him and he smiled and put his arm around me and we started walking to his office and when we reached the office we walked in and I closed the door and turned to Gordon "Where do we start?" I asked Gordon and he smirked.
