Chapter 21

Dustin's pov ((this will be his only pov I just have it here to show his point of view for his book ps. The songs wiped out by the neighborhood ))

"He went back to help with your aunt (Deans sister the lawyer)... I don't get it though, he said he was going to meet up with y'all...something's wrong" I would hate to be a party pooper but I knew something was wrong.

"I'll call my sister" Dean immediately went to action and got on the phone and Joseph stood up and tapped on Eli's shoulder to talk to her. Then there was me. Wtf do I do, I looked around most of the nekos were glancing at me. I smiled at them, acted as if I had something to do and walked up the stairs.

Well shit, Ian could be in trouble right now and I couldn't do anything about it. I sighed and walked into the upstairs restroom.

I know I probably don't sound frustrated but holy shit am I frustrated. Ian is really important to me he's like a brother to me. FUCK I'm always so useless. Ok Dustin breath, breath, now think what could you do to find him...OH I'm stupid.

"Guys! Guess whose stupid and knows how to find Ian?" I ran out the restroom and down the stairs. Joseph poked his head out of the kitchen and looked at me questionably.

"No need to guess, I rather not be counted as stupid... so a few months back Ian put a chip in my phone to track me but what he doesn't know is that I did the exact same thing to him. SO if he has his phone then we can figure out where he is" I walked out of the restroom and stood at the top of the stairs holding my phone out.

"Why does he want to know where your at all the time?" I shrugged at Joseph's question.I wasn't planning on telling him where I'd been going.

"Well here it says he's in his car" Joseph and Dean stared at me and nodded at me stupidly.

"Oh yeah, the cars back at...shit, looks like we're going back to the cemetery"

We immideatly started walking towards the door.

"Y'all 3 better come back with all your bodies parts intact" Dean laughed and gave a kiss to miss Martinez.

| a car ride later|

"You promised" I looked at Ian as he put a flower on the tombstone.

"I'm sorry Dustin I know you told me I should mind my own business over this but I really felt like I needed to pay my respects" there he was my best friend, the one that stuck around with me for all of it, all my pain and sorrow, here he was going back on his promise.

"I get you mean all good Ian, but you promised you wouldn't do anything that has to do with Joseph..." I felt like crying but I'm sure I'm already out of tears for Ian.

"No no no no, Dustin baby I'm so sorry. I mean it, I'll make it up to you..." He put his head down.

"I'm not your baby, I'm not going to stop being your friend but I don't want to see you for a while..." He looked up at me with a pained expression but nodded his head. I know I might be over reacting but this was something very important to me.

"I'll make it up to you Dustin I really will" he put his hand over his face trying to hide his expression. I slowly slid my hand through his soft hair and ruffled it. Yes I was mad but I knew I'd never be able to just leave him like that.

I began walking back to the car where Joseph and Alex were waiting.

"So...wanna talk about it?" Joseph immediately asked. 

"No not really"

"You'll have to tell me someday"

"Then wait till that someday"

I looked out the window and sighed to myself. I'm almost 30 and I still act like a spoiled child. I need to grow up already and deal with life the right way.

|next day|

I woke up with a soar body, which was pretty much expected since I slept on the floor. Slowly I stretched my body out and yawned. Sometimes waking up was one of the biggest struggles ever for me. I slept to never wake up but I always would and it'd only feel like I'd been asleep for a good 10 minutes.

"Sup"

I looked around and saw a cat sitting behind me.

"Oh um hi?" I looked at her questionably trying to figure out which one of the nekos it was.
But before I could even think up of there names  she walked away. Well that was random I stood up slowly and stretched my arms. When I had helped the nekos into the car yesterday they all seemed to be ok with my presence so I'm just gonna go for a long shot and say they don't hate me haha. I began walking towards the kitchen where I could already smell something being made.
Miss Martinez was in a apron putting butter on buns.

((I have a saying that goes with this. 'You can spread my legs like butter on toast' ;) I'm such a loser))

"Ah good morning Dustin, hope you had a good nights rest" she smiled at me. I gave her a faint smile and whispered thanks. I wasn't trying to seem rude or anything I've just never had a great relationship with Jason's parents.

Being truthful I wasn't really hungry I'm not much of a breakfast person. So there's no real reason for me to be in the kitchen. "AH SHI- oh" I looked down to see two cats rubbing themselves on me. This is kinda weird, being a Neko and having other nekos rub against me. I guess this is a pretty normal for these nekos though, with not much of human experiences in sure this seems natural to them, well I'll let it slide with them.

"Good morning Dustin"  Alex said to me as he walked towards Mrs.martinez. "Mmm that smells really good"

"Damn right it does" Dean burst out laughing from up the stairs. I chuckled as Alex looked at her with surprise. Mrs. Martinez is pretty sassy lady got to admit I like that about her.

"Ok so we'll get our plain tickets for this Sunday so I can get back to work and find some clients for the hybrids. Oh also Dustin Ian asked me to tell you, that if it'd be fine if he could give you something before we leave" I looked at Joseph and nodded. We were in the backyard planning what we'd be doing after all the drama that had happened. While Alex was walking past some roses and a small pond. After Alex  saw my response to Joseph he yelled out with a innocent smile "what is he going to give you, is it a present?"

I shrugged and yelled out "don't worry I'm sure its nothing bad". In reality I actually have no idea what he's going to give me which kinda scared me.

This year was one of the worst and best for me. I don't regret any of it though. I'm really happy for Joseph and Alex. They made it through a lot of drama and are going strong as a... as a?. I actually have no idea what they are. There not dating but there acting like a couple which is pretty cute honestly.

Well hopefully it all works out and life gets better for me...

Finally I finished the chapter, you have no idea how much procrastinating happened in between every single paragraph. I've never felt this bad about not updating and I feel even worse since it's not even that good of a chapter ;-; 

I've grown out of Wattpad sadly I never feel the urge to write here anymore BUT IM NEVER GOING TO GIVE UP ON THIS BOOK SO DONT WORRY. I'm pretty hyped for the next book though, I've been really wanting to start over and see my development in writing as I write the next book. Well have a great day and love y'all.
