June fades away quickly and before I know it the first week of July has begun. I wake up the morning of the Fourth of July from loud music playing. I groan loudly and sit up in bed. Since my ears are most likely bleeding I come to the conclusion that the boys are already awake. I check my phone and the time reads 11:34 AM.

I look around and sure enough all the beds are empty for the exception of mine. I climb down the ladder and riffle through my draws looking for clothes.

I finally pick out a white cropped muscle tank that has the words 'Coca Cola' on it in red, jean shorts with an American flag on the front, a black bra and underwear. I slip my phone into my jean pocket. Then I brush through my black hair and braided it to the side. So my red streaks are visible through the braid. I apply my usual amount of makeup and glance in the mirror.

Thankfully my dad packed extra contacts without me knowing; so I've been using them. Satisfied with my appearance I head downstairs. As soon as I enter the main room, one of their stupid songs echoes through the room.

I quickly brush my teeth and look around. The five idiots were all belting out lyrics to the their songs. I walk over to the stereo and shut it off. "What the hell? I was sleeping and you start cranking the music?" I ask angrily.

Niall smirks, "Your mom told us to wake you up. We figured this would be the most suitable way."

I narrow my eyes, and let out an unattractive groan. "So you're feeling festive today?" Louis comments referring to my shorts.

"I know, what can I say. Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays!" I reply.

"But...you've only celebrated it for three years!" Harry retorts inferring to the fact when I moved to America.

I roll my eyes. "That doesn't matter, it's an awesome holiday!"

Harry snorts at my comment, "Good Morning! Today I made special plans for us!" My mother says coming out from her bedroom. She has on a white polo shirt, tan Bermuda shorts and her blonde hair is swept up into a French braid. "Oh hello Avery!" She says noticing my appearance.

"Morninfom," I with a mouthful of granola in my mouth.

"Avery! Don't talk with your mouth full!" She scolds me.

"So Mrs.H what are ya big plans?" Niall asks.

My moms face brightens and she turns to face Niall. "We're all going sailing today on the ocean!" She says excitedly.

"Where else would we go sailing? A mountain?" I say sarcastically.

My mother shoots me a look,"It'll be very fun!" She says facing towards Niall.

He musters a smile, "Course' it will be!" He says weakly.

"Morning everyone!" My dad says entering the room.

A chorus of 'morning' is echoing through the room. My dad grabs a piece of toast and sits down at the table. "So, I just spoke with Denver." My dad says glancing at me.

"And..?" I snap annoyed that he's brought Denver up. After Chase's death Denver and I's relationship became worse. Denver has always blamed me for Chase's death. Whenever we were in the same room it would either be eerily quite or we would yelling our heads off.

"I just thought I would let you know. He's coming to visit in a few weekends with his fiancé." My dad adds.

"Fiancé?" Niall and I say unison.

"Yes, he's engaged to a girl named Meredith Waters." My dad replies.

"She's probably just a money seeking whore," I mutter under my breath.
