If you thought
The rose
Was beautiful,
Why wouldn't
You let her stay
That way?
Why wouldn't you
Let her grow and bloom,
And move graciously
In the wind?
Instead,
You took her
Away
From everything
And everyone
She loved,
So she became
Nothing
But a sad wilted flower.
