Part 15 ~ Balthazar and Gabriel

Chris's POV  

I watch as Berjhawn runs out after Douglas. I glance over at Sam to see him running his hands threw his hair in frustration. I look at Dean and he nods. I walk over to Sam and wrap my arms around him and looking up at him say, "It's okay Sam. They'll be fine, I can sense it." He looks down at me and hugging me back says, "Thank you." He pulls away and walks over to the bar and orders a beer. I look back at the table containing my family and Dean and smile. "Beautiful picture huh?" startled I trip as I look around me but see nothing. Then I see a sight I never thought I would ever see again. "Jess." The golden haired woman stood a few feet away smiling brightly. "Hey sis."

A tear falls from my eye and I rush over to hug her but end up going right through her. I turn back to see my father looking in my direction smiling while Dean and Cass talked about something. My father stands and walks over to me right as Jess reappears. "Hello father." Jess says as she wraps her arms around him. Then the two of them look at me and I smile. 

Jess looks back and forth between our father and I and says, "I take it you told her?" Michael nods to his oldest daughter and I look back at my sister says, "Chris don't blame father for what happened, heaven is a beautiful place but like every other place it has problems; and since father is in charge things became difficult for him." I nod as I try to hold back the tears. "I can't believe you did that for me? Why would you sacrifice yourself for me?" She smiles as she says, "It's an older sibling's job to protect their younger siblings."

She looks past me to Dean and says, "Your friend knows all about what I'm saying. He went to hell for his brother, and if father hadn't cared I would've done the same for you Chris." I reach up and wrap my arms around her and this time they found her body. Tears start to stream down my face as I hold her tight. "I love you Jess." I feel her tears in my arm as she says, "I love you too." 

Then she pulls away and looks at her father, "It's time father." He nods and they start to walk away but I stop them by saying, "Wait!" they turn back to face me and I smile saying, "Can I have a photo?" Jess nods and says, "One of our last family photos." I reach into my pocket and pull out my cell phone and quickly position myself between them and smile. As I hear the camera click I feel the two of their bodies suddenly vanish leaving me all alone. I take a deep breath and try to hold back the tears. I look at my phone and smile as their faces peer back at me.

"Thank you." I say as I look up at the ceiling. "Who are you thanking?" I hear someone say and I turn to see Katie standing beside me. I smile at my sister and say, "No one just talking to myself." She rolls her eyes and looking past me says, "I see the hotties are back. You know I really like the shorter one. Think you could talk to him for me?" my body tenses as I look back toward Dean. 

"No." I say turning my attention back to my younger sister. "You can't have him, sorry." I smile at her as she says, "Geez I just thought he was hot. Anywho, I'll just go spend some time with his taller brother." She says pointing her perfect nail toward where Sam was sitting. "Sorry Katie but that's my date?" We both turn to see Mel walking past us and over to a smiling Sam. Katie and I look at each other with confusion then we roll our eyes and go our separate ways. I glance back over to see Mel flip her red hair and I giggle to myself. Sam needs to have a good time. I think to myself as I sit back down next to Dean who wraps his arm around my shoulder.

"Where's Michael?" My uncle asks and I pull my eyes away from Dean as I reply, "Father had some business to take care of." Cass nods and then stands up saying, "I guess I better go then." He looks at Dean who nods then he disappears to the sound of fluttering wings. "So I see Sammy found a new friend." I laugh as I say, "I guess so, and after all she is a real good friend." He smiles as says, "So about earlier today, now that you know all about what me and Sammy do; do you see why I tried to stay away."
