Chapter 4 - Sadness and Anger

(Y/N) POV

I knock on Levin's door and smile. We haven't been talking as much as we should and I wanted to spend some time with him for a while. Levin gently opens the door, "Oh, hey (Y/N)" I smile and wave, "Hi! Want to hang out?" Levin freezes for a second but then sighs, "I can't, I have a lot of work to do." I keep on smiling even though it kind of hurt that he couldn't talk but at least we still had that date planned for tomorrow. "It's okay. It's hard being a lord so I get it, I'll see you tomorrow." I start to walk off but Levin stops me, "Wait.. I actually can't go on the date later either. I am really busy now." I keep my fake smile on my face as I say it's okay again and walk back home.

----- A Few Hours Later -----

I silently make (F/F) for lunch. I'm kind of bummed about Levin not being able to talk at all. How much work does a lord even have? Whatever, It's not really my business anyways. I hear someone knock on the door so I quietly drag myself over to the door and open it. It was Pierce. "Come in," I say in a quiet voice. Pierce steps in and looks at me with a weird look on his face, "(Y/N) are you okay? You look kind of down..." "Huh?" "I don't know, you're not acting like your normal self." "Ah.." I walk over to my (F/F) and start to eat it at the dining table. Pierce stares at me with a worried look as I continue to eat my (F/F). "(Y/N) are you sure you're okay?" "Yeah. I don't know what you're talking about, I always act like this. Pierce furrows his eyebrows and hums, "Mhm.." I pick up the plates and clean them in  the sink as Pierce keeps staring at me. As I was finishing, Pierce left, leaving me by myself.

Pierce's POV

I don't know why (Y/N) is so worried! Seeing her like that makes me all worked up! I plan to find out what Levin did to her. Doesn't he understand that she's a girl and deserves someone who doesn't make her feel like that?! If it was me I would be amazing to her, buy her flowers and jewelry, but she doesn't want that. I clench my teeth as I knock on Levin's door with a bit of force. Levin answers the door but before he could say anything I questioned him, "What did you do to her?" "To who?" He asks in response. "(Y/N)." He furrows his eyebrows, "What do you mean 'What did you do to her?' I didn't do anything. She came over this morning and asked if we could hang out and I said that I had work to do."  Levin pauses for a moment, "I also told her that I couldn't go on the date we planned tomorrow because I have to do work."  My blood boils as he tells me excuses, "You know what, she was probably looking forward to the date! I know that you're a lord but you need to look after your girlfriend too because she'll be there when you need her most! If you keep acting like this then I might as well take her for myself!" I turn and stomp away from Levin's house. "Wait," he stops me, "Don't, she's everything to me." I turn back and glare at him,

"Then act like she is."
