Sacrifice

There is this old town in Oklahoma where they believe that they have to sacrifice someone in order to please the gods. A little boy was caught for stealing bread, and a criminal that was caught for murder. The town would get to choose who lives and who gets to be the sacrifice. It was a very poor town, so they didn't have a lot to eat and didn't have a lot of money, and the population was so much that they didn't have enough food for everybody. They chose the criminal to live because he decreased the population, and the little boy was the sacrifice because he stole food from a very poor family. They set up the wood so they could tie him to it. They set fire to the wood and listened to his cries until he was burned alive. The townsfolk laughed and laughed at the dead boy because of his "stupidity".
