FAQ: Is this a true story, based on personal experience?

This book is inspired by both personal experience and real stories from people who have been through emotional and physical abuse.

But keep in mind that this book is not nonfiction.

Why is this categorized as a "short story" if there are more than a hundred chapters?

short story (noun)
: a short written story usually dealing with few characters
: a written story with minimal word count

: an invented prose narrative shorter than a novel usually dealing with a few characters and aiming at unity of effect and often concentrating on the creation of mood rather than plot

Basically, short stories are not defined by the amount of chapters.

Will his reason for hurting her be further explained in the sequel? Will their past also come to light or is it like a puzzle and the readers have to connect the dots?

The root of the protagonist's trauma and also the reason why her friend turned against her has been foreshadowed since the first chunk of chapters and also quite a few times throughout the book.

Refer to Chapter Ninety Three and Ninety Four.

And yes, it will be further explained in the sequel.

What time period will the sequel take place?

It has already taken place the same night he read her journal. So, please keep that in mind when you read his point of view.

Does he like her romantically? Did she develop feelings for him?

No. Not once was any type of romantic feeling or gesture mentioned throughout this book.

This is not a love story.

Are their names going to stay unknown throughout the books?

Yes. It just gives the imagination a lot more space and freedom to draw certain characters that you'd like to think about. I hate putting limits on people's minds.

Why are there so many unanswered questions?

Just imagine picking up a lost journal. You'll never really fully understand everything when you read it and the personal story and the identities within the pages wouldn't be encoded in much detail.

Every experience is the worst. There is no light infliction. They all have the same influence.

What is the meaning of life?

We just got deep. The meaning of life is basically living your life.

How did you learn to write well? I always struggle to become descriptive, and gain the audience's attention. What are your secrets?

Write what you want to read. You are your own story. That's where I like to draw my stories from, and that's basically how I do it.

Were they friends before he started bullying her?

Yes, they were childhood friends.

How did you think of this plot? Does it stem from something in reality?

It's just a bit of something I'd like to stir into people's minds about what bullying victims might actually go through behind closed doors.

How is it that your stories ended up getting so many reads, votes and comments? Inspiring others? Reaching a message across? I mean, everyone starts off at zero.

I honestly don't know. I have the same question in mind.

Does bullying actually get to this point? Sorry, but I can't imagine something with this level of cruelty.

Yes. It's harsh and most times inhumane. Where I'm from, it is very rampant. I don't know where you are from, but in Asia, bullying can get brutal – sometimes for no specific reason.

Not just in Asia, but bullying happens all over the world. As well as domestic abuse and child abuse. It is not exactly a rare occurrence in the world we live in.

I just want to let you all know that these things don't only happen in books and movies but they really do happen in real life and take lives.

I know this is not a question but I really really wish I had indulged myself into Wattpad way back in high school because every time I see even two readers defending me, let alone 40 of you, it just makes me cry because I never had friends that defended me when I thought the world was against me and I'm so grateful I have come across such wonderful, amazing people of all my social media platforms in Wattpad. Yes, it's necessary. You always need to know both sides of the story.
