First documentation of the Heka is dated back to sometime near 3000 BC, during the first dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Notable Hekas include: Meryt-Neith (first female pharaoh of Egypt), Nitocris, Twosret, Nefertiti, Cleopatra, Sobekneferu and Hatshepsut.
