C6

"Get up," someone impatiently ordered, their smooth, deep voice sending sparks of anticipation down my spine. "You should've been awake fifteen minutes ago."

"Just one more minute," I murmured into my pillow, pulling the blanket over my head with a sedated smile. Before I had a chance to settle into a deep sleep once again, the sheet was ripped away from my body. Instinctively I curled up into a ball, ignoring the loud groan coming from the person beside me.

When I felt cool air hit my legs, however, my eyes shot open and I jolted up, stealing the blanket from Damien so I could cover myself.

"What the hell?!" I snapped at him, eyeing him as he slowly turned his head to look at me again, his face revealing his discomfort.

"Me? You're the one not wearing pants," he retorted and my cheeks flushed.

"W-who in their right mind wears jeans to bed?" I stammered back, subconsciously bringing the sheet up to my chest. "Besides, I didn't expect anyone to come barging in!" Damien rolled his eyes, running a hand through his dark hair as he looked away from me once again.

"Well I didn't expect my trainee to be sleeping," he muttered with irritation. "You have five minutes to be ready and waiting outside your room. Your clothes are in those bags," he gestured to the shopping bags sitting on the chair by my bed before he turned back to the door, throwing a few parting words over his shoulder.

"Five minutes, cara mia," he repeated and once he'd turned his back I stuck my tongue out at him, rolling my eyes when he left the room. With immense effort, I scrambled out of bed and snatched up the bags, quickly burrowing through the items.

"I'm guessing a shower is out of the question?" I bitterly muttered to myself as I grabbed a few pieces clothing, quickly throwing on the new running tights and sports bra I'd found. I then pulled on the socks and boots I'd worn coming into the compound, shaking my head with a small grin when I noticed my lack of laces.

I wonder what Xena's reaction was when she found herself a little...tied up.

I took a quick glance around the room before eventually turning to the wardrobe. Inside I found two overly large grey hoodies and without hesitating I pulled out the hoodie strings. I then used those strings as makeshift shoelaces and, while they looked exceptionally unusual, they did the job perfectly.

"You're two minutes late," Damien grumbled from the other side of the door. I inhaled deeply to calm myself but eventually strode to the door, closing it softly behind me before looking expectantly up at Damien. He eyed me up and down and then, without a word, he started walking away. I instantly hurried after him, struggling to keep up with his long strides.

We made a few twists and turns before eventually stopping in front of another white door and with a raised eyebrow, Damien paused to look down at me.

"Are you ready for this?" he brashly asked. I scoffed, staring right at the door as he touched the handle.

"I'm-" I immediately clamped my mouth shut when the door swung open, my words sticking in my throat.

"Hey!" a woman around my age gleefully greeted, her brown eyes studying me carefully. She grinned and grabbed my pale arm with her dark hand, pulling me into the room that easily could've been the size of a football field. "I'm Cynthia," she pointed to herself as she dragged me further into the room. I vaguely heard her words as I gazed around with awe –my eyes flitting from the running track circling the room to the gym equipment in the centre. After briefly scanning the place, I noticed there were two other doors on the other side and barely made out the names painted on the entrances.
