Calum and Luke walked the (unfortunately) short distance to the beach, more specifically, the pool under the cave in which Calum met his abnormal friend.

Luke's hand was in Calum's slightly larger one, their fingers intertwined, squeezing for dear life as they got closer and closer to where Luke would have to leave Calum.

They arrived at the pool and Luke let go of Calum's hand and Calum already wanted to cry.

Luke gently held Calum's cheek, rubbing it with his thumb as he left a lingering kiss on his other cheek and lent into his ear, "I love you."

A tear really did fall from Calum's eye then as he pressed his lips against Luke's. He kissed Luke breathless as the pale fingers scrunched around the thick, dark hair.

The blonde reluctantly pulled away and leaned his forehead against Calum's. He only looked at him, wiping his tears away every few seconds before dipping himself into the water. He gave once last apologetic smile to Calum before disappearing into the water.
