30- Telling Ryan

Dove's POV
Ryan walks in the door. "Dove?!" He calls. I put the test on the counter and wipe my eyes. I walk out of the bathroom and he says "Hey." I look down. "What's wrong?" He asks. Tears run down my cheek. I can't tell him. I can't loose him. "Dove. Talk to me." He whispers and steps closer. I shake my head. He walks over and picks me up bridal style. He sits on the couch with me in his lap. "Dove?" He whispers. I look into his eyes and he wipes away my tears. "Ryan I'm..." I start. He looks confused. "You're what? Chloe you can talk to me." He says. "I-I...we when." I try and talk, but nothing comes out. I sigh and get up and go into the bathroom. I hold the test in my hand and go back out to Ryan. "Babe you're scaring me." He says. I close my eyes and hold out the test. I feel him take it. It's silent for a little while and I finally get the courage to open my eyes. He's staring at the test frozen. "You're p-pregnant?" He asks. I slowly nod and start to cry again. "It's mine?" He asks. I slowly nod again. He sighs and puts it on the counter. "How the..." He sighs again and puts his hands over his head. He walks over to the wall and then back to me. "I can't be a dad." He whispers. I keep looking down. Ryan turns around and sighs. "Ok." He says. "What?" I ask looking up. "Ryan you can be as involved as you want." I say. "What? No you're not alone on this." He says. "What?" I ask again. "I can't leave you alone. It's my kid too." He says and walks over to me. "How are you taking this so well?" I ask. He smiles and says "You're thrown up twice and when I mentioned kids in the Q&A you froze. I knew something was up." He says. I nod and he asks "Are you gonna be ok?" "I guess." I say. He sighs and hugs me. I hug back and he picks me up. "I'll always be here." He says and sits on the couch. He pushes hair back behind my ear. "We're gonna keep our baby right?" Ryan asks. "Yeah." I whisper. Ryan puts his hand on my stomach. "You ready to do this?" He asks. I smile and look at my stomach then back into his eyes. "Yeah." I say. He smiles and kisses me. "Do you want to go to the doctor and check it out in a few days?" He asks. "I think we should." I say. He smiles and says "I'll call." I nod and he goes into the other room with his phone. I'm happy he's taking this so well. I get up and throw away the test. Then I start getting dizzy. Ryan comes back out and says "You have an appointment in two days." I nod and put my hand on the table trying to keep my balance. "Are you ok?" He asks coming over. "Ryan." I say and then everything goes black.
"Chlo! Come on Chlopop wake up." He says and shakes me a little. I open my eyes and am in bed beside Ryan. "What...what happened?" I ask. "You fainted." He says. "Oh." I say. "Yeah. Let's lay here for a little bit." He says. I put my head on his chest. "I'm still a little dizzy." I say. "Ok. Shhh. Just lay here." He says. I close my eyes and nod. I fall asleep.

When I wake up I look at the clock 4am. Ryan is sound asleep beside me. My stomach and chest hurt. I roll over again, but it doesn't help. "Chloe. Are you ok?" Ryan asks with his eyes still closed. "No." I whine. "Do you want me to get you some Advil?" He asks. "Yes." I say and sit up frustrated. Ryan moans and sits up. "My stomach hurts." I say. "Ok. Hang on." He says and gets up. He goes into the bathroom then the kitchen. He comes back in and sits beside me. "Here." He says and hands me two pills and a water cup. I take the pills and Ryan puts his arm around me rubbing my back. "It still hurts Ryan." I whine. "It's ok...Just breath." He whispers. I take a deep breath and relax a little bit. Ryan calms me down and we lay back down. I immediately fall asleep.
