Chapter 12

(Albus)

I didn't know how the day at Diagon Ally was going to go when I started shopping with Scorpius' family.  The first 5 minutes they where all quiet, well except for Scorpius.  When he said something to me he whispered it.  It was kind of annoying.  Soon enough we entered Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlor.  When we sat down Draco went up to the counter to order.  When he left Astoria started talking. 

"So how is everybody today," She said.

"Mom," Scorpius said annoyed. 

"What.  I am just trying to start a conversation with you guys," she said, "So Albus it is very nice to meet you."

"Thank you.  It is very nice to meet you to Mrs. Malfoy," I said.  

"Please.  All of Scorpius friends can call me Astoria.  Unless you make me mad.  If you do make me mad then you might want to run," Astoria said. 

"Well that's nice," I said then I turned to Scorpius. 

"Remind me to never make your mom mad.  I don't feel like dying any time soon," I asked. 

"Don't worry.  It is really hard to make her mad," he replied.  Then Draco came back with the ice cream and we started eating.  I could tell that Draco was staring at me and I guess that Astoria say it to. 

"Draco, don't make faces at Albus.  It's rude," she said.

"So you are friends with my son," Draco asked. 

"Well yes.  He is really funny when he isn't sarcastic," I replied. 

"How wonderful," Draco sneered. 

"Draco, you are being rude stop it," Astoria said.  She sounded a little bit angry. 

"Of course deer.  I didn't mean to sound rude to you, Albus," he said. 

"Yes you did," Scorpius muttered.  Draco looked right at his son and looked a little bit angry.

"Why don't you speak up and say that again Scorpius.  I didn't here you," Draco said. 

"Scorpius, Albus, why don't you guys go get your look at some broom equipment while I talk to my husband," Astoria said.  This time she sounded really angry. 

When Astoria told us to go we did.  We went to go look at some racing brooms in Quality Quidditch supplies.  I think it is the best place in the world.  Everything quidditch is here.  The first time I ever been in here was when I was 5 and my mom was looking at new brooms for the Holyhead Harpies. 

Scorpius and I were in there for 10 minutes before Astoria and Draco came in.  Draco looked very mad and Astoria looked very pleased with herself.  When Astoria say Scorpius and I she started walking towards us and Draco followed. 

"This place is just wonderful.  Now I was never truly a quidditch person but Draco here played as the Slytherin seeker," she said. 

"Really.  Scorpius why have you never told me this," I asked.

"Because they never told me this before," he said.  He stared right at Draco and Astoria.

"I don't like talking about it," Draco said. 

Then before Scorpius could start asking more questions somebody walked in and sneaked up right behind me.

"Now what are my favorite idiots doing inside of Quality Quidditch Supplies," Rose asked.  It made me jump 2 feet in the air and Scorpius almost screamed. 

"OK, first of all don't sneak up on me and second don't call me an idiot.  It is very insulting.  And third why have you never told me that you were a seeker, dad," he replied. 

"I don't have to tell you why I never told you why I was a seeker," Draco said. 

"Draco, do not sound angry around Scorpius' friends.  What is wrong with you.  You never act like this around Scorpius," said Astoria. 

"Well then.  Did I come at a bad time," Rose asked.

"NO," Scorpius and I said in unison. 

"OK.  Then can anybody what that is about," she asked, pointing at Draco and Astoria. 

"I have no idea.  Dad has never acted this way before.  It is kind of weird," Scorpius said. 

Soon Draco and Astoria say us looking at them.  Then they stopped having their little conversation.  

"Sorry about my attitude.  I am not mad at any of you.  I am just dealing with something at the ministry of magic and it is making me mad," Draco said. 

Soon enough we got everything we needed for Hogwarts.  Rose stayed with us until her mom needed her.  Then I found my dad and said goodbye to Scorpius.  Draco still looked mad but now Astoria knew what it was about.  Then they left and a few minutes later my family left.
