She's irritating again.

She won't let me live down my smile.
She boasted like she had won a million dollars,
Prancing around me,
Cheering and hooting.

She once told me,
Surely no one can be that unhappy.
Well, looking at her,
Surely no one can be that happy.

We walked through the park we met in
And she twirled around me,
Chanting that I smiled.
I think what annoyed me most,
Was the more I watched her laugh
And spin around the footpath singing,
The more I had to resist smiling.

Sometimes, when she turned her back,
I would let my face relax.
Maybe letting my lips twitch up,
But if she turned and gazed at me,
I would go back blank.
I couldn't let her win.

Considering I had so far been the front runner of the silent game,
She stopped me
And placed her cold hands on my cheeks,
Her skin so smooth against mine,
And pushed my mouth up,
Forcing a smile.

She grinned,
Telling me I looked adorable.
She had squished my cheeks so much,
I could barely see.
She was getting close to winning
Because if she let go of my face in that second,
The smile she created probably wouldn't have fallen.

But I scrunched my nose in a frown,
Causing that same sweet melody of a chuckle
To escape her plump lips.
She let go of my face.

"You'll be smiling again in no time. Just you wait."

She turned around
And I smiled at her.

Oops, soz I haven't updated in a while. Been a bit busy because we got a new puppy and she's a real handful.
