Chapter 1: This Is Going To Be Harder Than Clipping My Dad's Toe Nails

"Do you have everything with you Ms. Millers?" A buff guy with a kind expression asked. He doesn't seem that intimidating.

"Yes I do. Just give me a second?" I said subconsciously running a hand through my untamed brown curls. I did not expect them to pick me up this early. If I known, I would've at least straightened my hair. That takes an hour to do so I'll have to manage and brush through it, I guess.

"Yes ma'am. Sorry about being so early. The boys were ready sooner that we thought." He chuckled taking some of the suitcases that was at the front entrance. I smiled politely at him and walked to my room.

It's the first day on the job so I would have to make a good impression.

I pulled on a black, simple pencil skirt and a white button up shirt tucked in. I put on black pumps and did simple make up. Black eyeliner, mascara, and light red lipstick. I think the black compliments my brown skin.

Now the hardest part, my hair. A simple bun would do... If the curls will stay tamed. After a lot of brushing and putting on gel, a pretty bun was placed on my head. I look presentable for the first day.

I got my travel bag especially made for my cameras and lap top. I did a double check to make sure that I had all 4 cameras and my MacBook Air.

"Do you want me to carry that ma'am." Steve, I read his name tag, asked kindly.

"No thanks. I can carry it myself." I said stacking my papers. I did a little research on each boy last night so I can get an idea for posters and poses. I grabbed my keys and let Steve lead me to bus while I locked my door.

I guess I won't be seeing you for a while. I'm off the pursue my career.

"This is the way Ms. Millers." Steve said as I followed after him.

I saw 6 figures waiting in a line by the bus.

Wait, 6? Last time I checked there were only 5 members in One Direction.

I looked at my papers hoping I didn't make a mistake.

Niall

Liam

Harry

Zayn

And Louis.

That's 5.

"Hello Ms. Millers. I'm their manager, Mr. Spikes." He said shaking my free hand.

Ok, now it makes sense.

"Hello Mr. Spikes. I'm guessing this is One Direction." I said smiling at him. He still didn't let go of my hand and it made me very uncomfortable. I kept my fake smile on my face as I tried to pull back from the handshake.

I want to kick him where the sun don't shine. When the hell is he letting go?

"Ok I think we're done here." I said as he finally pulled away. I heard laughter coming from beside me and saw the boys looking at Mr. Spikes.

"I think your hands just made a baby." I heard someone say making the rest of them bust out laughing. I let out a small smile at their boyish behavior.

"Anyway, these are the boys. H-" I quickly cut him off.

"If I may sir, how about I guess their names? I did some research and I want to see if it was accurate." I said looking through my papers. He nodded slightly and I moved in front of the first boy.
