The four arrived at Shutoku High. The school stands proudly with its mighty walls and huge buildings that share the same historical value.
"Oh Midorima, Takao! Thank goodness, we thought you aren't coming!" Kimura happily exclaimed. "They will not dare to do that Kimura..." Miyaji grinned sadistically while tossing a pineapple with one hand. Takao and Midorima gulped.
"Whatever. Oi you two, hurry up and go change. Game's starting in an hour," Otsubo Taisuke, Shutoku's captain commanded.
"Before that Captain," Otsubo stopped from his tracks. "What is it?" "We brought two other people with us." "Huh?! What are you saying Midorima-teme?! Why will you bring some company to our game?!" Miyaji complained. "They are my lucky items for today." "Huh?!"
"Shin-chan needs a long silky hair and a pair of cute round blue eyes."
"Huh?! So you came dragging strangers?! What are you thinking?!"
"Man proposes God disposes."
"I have enough of your weird fortune-telling!"
"Where are the two you are talking about?" Coach Nakatani asked, silencing the two.
"They are waiting outside. I'll call them,"Takao volunteered.
"But we are here," came a spontaneous reply causing others to jump and yell in fright.
Facing them are the famous phantom sixth man, Kuroko Tetsuya and beside him is a girl they never seen before, clad in cute white dress with lavender trimmings.
"Domo. Please pardon our intrusion." Kuroko bowed at the spectators who still did not recover from shock. Nakbin curtsied along with her brother.
"We simply do not want Midorima-kun and Takao-kun to miss their game so we tagged along."
Miyaji scoffed. "More like he dragged you in here. But fine as long as you won't get in our way." "We won't."
The team captain glanced Nakbin apologetically. "I apologize for Midorima's actions. It seemed to be you were spending a great time with your boyfriend when he dragged you in here." "It's alright. We are both happy to help Shintaro-sama and Kazunari-sama. And Aniue isn't just my friend he is my one and only Aniue!" Nakbin brimmed. "And Shintaro-sama looks so desperate that we had no choice but to help, so please don't be mad at them." "I wasn't that desperate!" Midorima argued. Takao laughed maniacally. "You're the best Nakbin-chan!"
Oi Miss! What did these two do to you to gain such honorifics?" Miyaji asked, an eyebrow raised. Even their coach watched the exchange curiously.
"Sorry but imoto-chan actually addresses everyone that way. Please excuse us. Come Nakbin-chan, let us wait outside." Kuroko offered a hand to her. She placed her soft one atop of his as they stepped out the locker, walking like a proud count escorting a princess. Several eyes followed the two until the door closed.
"Man I can't believe I can keep up with those two, they are so weird. But hey! Maybe I should also listen to Oha-Asa more often. I might also get a pretty girl as a lucky item." "Shut up Takao!"
Coach Nakatani sighed deeply. Surely having one of the Generation of Miracles in the team is troublesome.
The benchwarmers keep on glancing the the two, looking at a particular girl with awe. Tetsuya felt stars hitting his face and sent daggers to the onlookers causing them to abruptly turn their heads.
"Nah Shin-chan, remind me again not to get Kuroko's bad side."
"Be quiet Takao, let's just hurry," said Midorima stealing a quick glance at the two.
The game started and Shutoku owns the ball as expected. Nakbin was amazed with Midorima's high projectile three and touch shots and looked at him with admiration.
The buzzer sounds which marks the end of the game with Shutoku ending up as the winner.
The team marched towards their bench and took a short rest.
"That was a great game Sama-tachi! Your shots are amazing Shintaro-sama! It's beautiful, like forming a rainbow across the sky." Nakbin brimmed causing Midorima to splutter and blush heavily.
"Uh...Shin-chan? Are you blushing?"
"Shut up Takao! I'm not!
"Hehe..."
Midorima turned his attention to Kuroko. "Kuroko, we were saved by your sister's long silky hair and your cute round eyes." "Did you hear that Aniue? He says you're cute!" Midorima was taken aback and blushed again. I didn't mean it like that! He sent a glare to Takao who snorted covering his mouth, trying hard not to laugh.
Finally he regained his composure again and cleared his throat. "Anyway, we won because of you, nanodayo. So...thank you." Midorima bowed at the two earning shocked stares from the rest.
"Shin-chan is actually thanking someone?"
"It is my first time seeing it too, it's creepy." Kuroko deadpanned.
"You two are rude to me, I'm just a human too. I know how to express gratitude." Midorima countered.
"Is it really rare for Shintaro-sama to thank someone?"
"Not really, Midorima-kun loves to help people but denies doing so."
"Kuroko..!"
"Ah! You remind me of Yoon-kun, a tsundere!" Nakbin grinned. Takao laughed harder. Their teammates joined in as well, including their coach. Kuroko remained impassive as usual but there is an amused glint in his eyes.
"I am not a tsundere, nanodayo!" Midorima bellowed.
"You really are the best!" Takao said putting an arm around her shoulders. "Takao-kun, please refrain from touching my sister so casually." Takao simply ignored the phantom sixth man. It is amusing to annoy him after all.
"Why don't we get something to eat?" Takao suggested.
Midorima who finally redeemed himself sighed deeply. "It can't be helped. Come with us Kuroko, Kuroko-san, it will be my treat."
"Well if you insist, Midorima-kun. And Takao-kun, please let go of my sister." He sternly said.
Takao looked at him teasingly and pulled her closer to his chest. "Well I don't really want to." He chided earning a murderous glare from Kuroko.
"Hey! There, there. I jest, okay? Geez..." Takao said finally letting go of the girl.
