Nakbin and Momoi finally left Touou school grounds.
"Mah that girl's too cute, don't you think Sakurai?" Imayoshi gave his kouhai a slight nudge.
"H-hai!" Sakurai can't stop himself from blushing.
"Too bad Aomine ruined the moment, huh?" Susa smiled slightly, feeling bad for the apologetic mushroom.
Sakurai pursed his lips. He can't help but feel disappointed though.
"Speaking of the devil, where is that bastard?!" Wakamatsu exclaimed. His teammates and former captain looked around for the tanned male.

Looking back, a certain basketball player has been following the two girls from behind.
"Nakbin, what are we going to find first?" Momoi cheerfully asked.
"What about we try some fabric for the costumes? I would also like to get some ingredients and condiments if you may, Satsuki-sama."
"What a great idea! Come! Let's go!" Momoi pulled her hand excitedly and they sprinted towards a store of fabrics.
Both girls went on separate ways. Tetsuya's sister becomes unnoticed as usual until she bumped on certain someone.
"Ow! I'm so sorry!"
"Hmm? Well isn't it Tetsuya's sister? What are you doing here all alone?" Haizaki sneered at her.
"Shougo-sama? I came here to accompany Satsuki-sama to buy some materials."
"Satsuki?" Haizaki looked around for the pink head.
"She went that way." Nakbin pointed at the opposite direction.
Haizaki smirked and pulled her closer. "Well does it matter? I can have you for myse-"
"Get off her, bastard!" Aomine pushed the gray head away. Haizaki frowned as he recognized the newcomer.
"Daiki."
"You don't want Tetsu to hear this, do you?"
"Ha! Who cares?! I'm out of here. You are wasting my time. See you around pretty girl!" Haizaki gave Aomine one last glare as he walked away.
"Are you alright?" Aomine gave Nakbin a worried look.
"I think so. Thank you, I guess."
Aomine sighed. She is still as innocent as ever.
"I guess you can't be left alone, huh?"
"What? I'm an independent person!"
"Right. You can't even do all things without your brother or cousin."
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me?"
Aomine smirked. "Never thought Tetsu's sister is so fiesty. Tetsu is always patient."
Nakbin frowned. The ganguro is definitely picking a fight with her.
Aomine scratched the back of his head and sighed. He must back down already.
"What are you doing here all alone?"
"We decided to go on separate ways so we won't waste much time. What are you doing here anyway?"
"Just lost my way here. Might as well tag along, got nothing to do anyway."
Nakbin gave him a serious look. "Suit yourself."
Aomine smiled secretly.
They bought several pastel fabrics since Nakbin preferred light colors. Aomine carried them all despite her insisting to carry them on her own.
"You will look funny, midget."
"Stop calling me that!"
This is actually the first time he enjoyed shopping with a girl. He always thinks they are annoying just like Satsuki is whenever they go to a mall. He has to admit. He likes her since the time he spent the time alone with her. He received Tetsu's ignite pass in the end but it was worth it. He thinks he is falling-. Aomine brushed that thought instantly as he shook his head. Kagami, Akashi, Hanamiya and many others stand on his way. He probably won't stand a chance. Her smile caught his attention immediately. "At least let me treasure this in my memory."
"Daiki-sama? You said something?"
"Huh? Wha-no! I said hurry up!"
Nakbin frowned. Aomine sighed deeply. That was close.

"Dai-chan?"
Aomine suddenly felt annoyed upon hearing Momoi's voice.
"What?"
Momoi gave him a disapproving glare.
"I got bored."
Momoi treated them with ice cream but complained about Aomine tagging along and stealing her precious time with Nakbin. The tanned male argued as usual. They stopped midway when they heard Nakbin laugh. Aomine's eyes softened then looked away immediately as if he just remembered something that wells up his anger. It is frustrating for him. Momoi noticed his reaction and had a slight clue to what it might be. Her lips curved slightly downward as he stared at her childhood friend.
Tyelko fetched Nakbin in the afternoon. Aomine stared at the retreating form of the car. Momoi clutched her bag to her chest, not knowing how to comfort her friend. Aomine smiled to himself. At least he has a memory of her for him to keep. For a love that can never be.
