I smiled at Rook, her eyes glittering with amusement. She met my gaze and grinned. Which side are you on, sister? Rook asked.

My tree pendent glowed softly. Yours, did you really need to ask?

Rook stood up and glanced at Archer. "I know you want to leave as soon as possible, so lets go." She smiled sweetly at Edward. "I hope you don't mind the clean up Master."

Edward huffed and rolled his eyes. "As long as I get to keep most of the cake and cookies I don't mind a bit."

Rook laughed. "Not that they will last that long. I'll take one cake."

"The crew is going to want it," Archer warned.

"Not if they don't know I have it."

The door slammed, rattling the walls. "ARNO DORIAN!" Moleck shouted furiously.

Arno smirked. "What is it Moleck? I warned you about the cold water!"

A very soggy Moleck, with Jacob close behind, stomped into the kitchen. "You're going to pay for that."

Jacob, who was very much dry, looked extremely pleased with himself. "Are we going or not?" He had a mischievous look on his face.

Rook frowned at him. "What are you up to Jacob?"

Jacob smiled innocently. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Let's go before there's too much time to set things up," Archer said, standing quickly.

Moleck raised an eyebrow at Jacob. "We need to up our game. Look's like we're outnumbered three to one."

"I would say so, yes," Jacob said with another cocky grin.

Rook groaned. "Tell me why I don't want to go out the door," she muttered.

Moleck and Jacob exchanged looks and both ran down the hall. Rook took two steps back and took a running leap at the table, clearing it with space to spare. There was a puff of wind and she disappeared, sending napkins in all directions.

Archer muttered something under his breath and glanced at Edward. "Good to see you again Kenway. I wish we could stay, but I'm a little worried about what your apprentice is going to do to my brother."

Edward smiled. "I understand. You'd better hurry though, Rook probably got to the ship three seconds ago."

Archer also disappeared in a blur of motion and wind. Arno ran out the door, leaving me standing at the head of the table with Henry, Mary, and Edward.

Henry stood. "It looks like we should get going before we get left behind."

Edward laughed. "If they do leave you behind," he looked directly at me. "Just call, the Jackdaw can catch them quickly enough."

   I nodded. "I don't doubt that. Good-bye."

"Safe travels lass!" Mary called after Henry and I. "May the wind blow strong in your sails!"

"Same to you!" I noticed Henry looking at me curiously. "What?"

Henry shook his head. "Nothing. Let's run."

We both ran out the door and skipped several steps on the way down to the ground. We ran all the way to The Night's Jewel.

I climbed up the side and vaulted onto the deck. The crew was already hard at work. Arno and Moleck were nowhere to be seen, but I could see Jacob standing next to Archer and Rook sitting in the rigging.

Henry landed next to me. I smiled at him. "I'm going to take the night shift again," I said quietly.

Henry smiled back. "Alright. See you at London then."

I headed below deck and cautiously opened my door, half expecting a bucket of water to land on my head. There was nothing. The door closed behind me and latched with a quiet click.

My cane sword still lay on the desk. I set my belt of throwing knives next to it and placed my hidden blades on top. I decided to keep my kukri, in case of emergency, and lay down on the bed.

Just as I started to drift off there was a quiet knock on my door. I opened my eyes and sat up. "Come in."

The door creaked slightly as it opened. Arno entered, closing the door behind him. "Taking the night shift again?" he asked, sitting down in the old wooden chair in front of the desk.

   I nodded. "What about you?"

Arno smiled. "I always take the night shift. Even if Moleck is the captain at night."

I yawned and leaned back. "How long does it take to adjust to the normal schedule again?"

"Several days usually," Arno placed something on the desk and stood up. "Rook can make it one though." He opened the door once again. "I'll let you get some sleep. If I stay, we'll both regret it when the sun sets." He smiled at me once before leaving. The door clicked closed again.

I turned my gaze to the desk. What had he put there? I couldn't see from the bed so I stood up. A small glass jar, filled most of the way with water, sat there. Sitting on the surface of the water was the head of a white rose. It shone in the weak light from the lantern.

I picked up the jar and smiled. I didn't know where Arno had found it. I couldn't recall seeing any flowers in Great Inagua. I hadn't really looked though.

My anchor glowed with a dim blue light. Did you make it? Edward's voice asked in the back of my mind. Or do I need to come save you?

I reached out to Edward, making the anchor glow a little brighter. We made it. Thanks for the offer though.

Alright then. Oh, I've told Archer already but you might want to know as well.

What? Don't build up the suspense Edward.

The HMS Blue Jay. You've got a tail.
