The Forgotten Child

Harry raised an eyebrow at the woman, having an idea on where this conversation was going. "What is it?" Louis asks and Lou sighs.

"I don't have a place for Zayn to go and was wondering if you guys could take him. It wouldn't be for to long, just until I can find someone to take him. Most of the caretakers of boy group homes are tough men and I think Zayn needs to be with someone who is caring and sensitive like him." Lou explained and Harry sighs, running a hand through his hair.

"Can we talk about it?" Harry asks wrapping his arm around Louis.

"Yes of course." Lou says stepping into Zayn's room. Louis and Harry looked at each other and sighed.

"What do you want to do?" Louis asks looking up at Harry.

"I don't know. The kid doesn't even like me." Harry says and Louis sighs.

"But he is your son and, I hate to bring this up, he could hate you more if you don't take him in." Louis points out and Harry nods.

"I know. But what about Niall and Liam?" Harry asks and Louis shrugs.

"They will either be really for it or really against it, but they can get over it. Harry, I think we should do this." Louis said and Harry sighs. "I mean we have the money, the room, and the time to take him in. This could be good for us and for Zayn. I mean he won't have to be in foster care anymore." Louis says and Harry nods.

"And if he doesn't like us, Lou can take him to a different home that he likes." Harry says and Louis nods. The two intertwined fingers and made their way inside. Zayn's eyes immediately made their way to the two men, staring between their held hands and Louis.

"Um Lou can we talk to you again, outside?" Louis asks, glancing over at Zayn, who immediately looked down at his lap.

"Sure." Lou smiles patting Zayn's hands before following Louis and Harry out into the hallway. "What's up? Have you made a decision?"

"Yeah, um I think we are going to do it." Harry smiles and Lou grins.

"This is great. This will be so good for you and Zayn. I am going to have to run to my office and get the paperwork though, so do you guys mind staying with him?" Lou asks and Harry shakes his head. "Alright I'll be back in a little bit." Lou says before walking back into the room to grab her things and say bye to Zayn.

"Um so this is my husband Louis, I mean you remember him right?" Harry asks after Lou had left, leaving the three boys alone. Zayn gave a small nod in response, fiddling with his fingers.

"How are you feeling?" Louis asked and Zayn shrugged.

Harry was about to ask Zayn if he needed anything, but was cut off by his phone ringing. He shot a small smile towards Zayn before picking up his phone, "Hello?" he asks.

"Papa? What's going on? You haven't been texting us or anything. How's Zayn?" Liam asks as Harry made his way out into the hallway.

"Um Zayn is fine, just in a bit of pain. I have some news." Harry says and Liam hums for him to continue. "Zayn is going to come and live with us for a while."

"What? How did this go from you thinking about meeting him, to him coming to live with us?" Niall yells through the phone.

"Lou doesn't have anywhere else for him to go at the moment and I am his dad." Harry says.

"But I thought he hated us or something." Liam says and Harry had to crack a grin.

"No bud, he just doesn't like me. He is scared and all. It's complicated." Harry sighs.
