◇بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم◇

Ibn Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ( صلی الله علیہ وسلم ) said:

" Whoever listens to other people's conversations without their permission will have molten lead poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection. "

(Reported by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 11/248-249; see also Saheeh al-Jaami', 6004).

Eavesdropping is forbidden in Islam.
So, even if you don't have the habit of listening to people's conversation secretly but you are just passing by a room in your home or anywhere and you heard your name being mentioned in the conversation , getting curious you try to listen the ongoing conversation.. But!! Curiosity sometimes can be as dangerous as a butterfly hovering over a flame, So your mind and soul being your well-wisher stop you from doing so by reminding this ' NO Eavesdropping ! ' ( insha'Allah ) & you walk away from that place without doing anything wrong & yayy!! :D
You'll earn reward by protecting your ears.
You'll earn reward for controlling your nafs.
You'll earn reward for pleasing the Almighty with such little yet strong act of yours. Insha'Allah. :)
