She trusted the moon
When she should've trusted the sun
She hoped it would be over soon
But when it wasn't, she decided she was done.
She gave up
Thinking happiness did not exist
She was tired of feeling like a lost pup

She grew tired
And became mentally weak
She stopped fighting because she was uninspired
An escape is all she was trying to seek.
One day she just went numb
Though she was hurt, her pain remained unspoken
The pain she felt she could not overcome
It became perfectly clear, she was completely broken.
