He had a smirk on his face while you both took your seats at the theater. The popcorn was settled on his lap and the candy was on yours.

"Don't worry, babe, if you get scared you can take my hand," Mick assured sarcastically.

You scoffed at his cockiness. He still thought you were lying about being unfazed by scary movies. They just never had the terrifying effect on you. You didn't understand why but it didn't matter. They were still enjoyable even if they failed to do their only job.

Halfway through the movie a particularly sudden jump-scare sent Mick jumping hard enough to spill popcorn on himself. He swore quietly and gave you a quick glare when he heard your muffled giggles.

"Don't worry, babe, if you get scared you can take my hand," you joked.

Instead of being an ass, he took upon your offer and refused to let go even after you have left the theater.
