She has all the answers
I woke up the next morning in the exact same position that I was the night before. Master hadn’t called me for dinner, after all. I turned my head towards the clock on the wall, half past ten. Master would probably call me any minute now to take me to a witch, hopefully the same one as yesterday.
However, I was still incredibly sick of witches. I mean, I still don’t believe the whole memory thing, even despite what happened yesterday and what had happened earlier. Speaking of yesterday, it was still raining, but I refused to believe that this was my spell still working. It was probably just the weather doing what it does.
I groaned, stood up and walked towards the bathroom so that I could freshen up and be ready to go when Master called me. I started by combing my hair and then just scrunching it up into a messy bun and finished with brushing my teeth.
I skipped back to my room and instead of waiting decided to knock on Master’s door instead of the other way around. Right before I knocked, Master stepped outside of his room, carrying his suitcase.
“Good morning,”, he said with a soft smile on his lips.
“Good morning,” I said lowering my hand.
“Are you ready to go to the witch? I want to find that diary as soon as possible so that we can get back on track and finally go to Toscana.”
“I’m ready, I guess.” I shrugged.
“Well, then, let’s go, the limo’s already waiting for us outside. Don’t forget your stuff! We’re leaving right away.”
I hurried back inside my room and took my suitcase. I put away everything that I had out and a couple of things that I wanted to keep such as the brush and some clothes that I liked. Then, I went back to the hallway where Master was waiting for me.
“All set?” He asked as I closed the door.
I nodded.
“Okay, then, let’s go! I don’t want to waste any time!” He exclaimed as he began walking towards the elevator.
I followed him while we went down the elevator, past the lobby, onto the street and into the car or limo as he called it. We drove quickly but quietly to the witches until we reached that quiet little street again and parked in front of the ‘Witch Service’ building.
I slowly got out of the car and then admired the small little street. It was still as adorable as the last time I’d been there. Master had already made his way up to the door and my guess was that he was waiting for someone to open it and invite him inside.
I walked to him with a small smile on my lips and my arms hanging loosely beside me. It took about one minute for Dawn to open the door. As soon as she did, she shot me a dreadful look but hid it with her tone when she asked us to come in.
We did as we were told and then followed Dawn to her office. She sat at her desk and then rapidly searched her computer for my file or my case’s file. Master sat down on one of the black armchairs in front of her desk and gestured for me to sit down on the other one beside him.
I did as I was told and waited patiently for Dawn to finish doing whatever it was that she was doing while I played with my hands and contemplated the red rose on her desk. It made me remember many things, like the memory, Matt and for some reason, life itself.
My concentration was suddenly broken by the sound of Dawn’s notebook slamming onto her desk. She took out a blue pen from her pencil case and chewed on its tip as she tapped her fingers on the table and stared at me. She stayed like that for about two minutes and then sighed:
