In summer
kids splash and swim in the pool.
Sun scorches,
sweat cascades like a waterfall.
Bold and vibrant colors
burst with joy.
Children giggle
as they hang out with friends.
Enjoying popsicles
and ice-cream cones,
that melt all over their hands.

A poem is like
a painting,
Everyone
Perceives
it differently.
They create
a mental picture
and set a mood.
They express the
creator's emotions
and talent. The
delicate and quick
brush strokes dance
on the canvas like
a ballerina
twurling
on stage.
How graceful
the sight. Poems
aren't always
that peaceful.
Some paint a
gloomy picture,
others a horrifying
one. It is how the
audience
perceives
it that matters.
