Months have passed by and I have noticed Veronica hasn't been herself, well the Veronica I know. She is either late from picking up Manny or doesn't come until the next day leaving us to take him to school, she also is a little jumpy.
Right now I am going to pick up the twins and Manny from school.

I get to the school and I see them.
"Dad!" they all yell and run up to me and hug me
Yes Manny calls me dad and he also calls Skylar mom, Veronica doesn't mind that I wonder why.
"Uh Mr.Luh, Ms. Diaz wanted me to give this to you" One of the assistant teachers hands me a piece of paper

If you are reading this then I have failed for Manny, I knew you were never the father and I knew you would take him under your wing. Manny's real dad is a drug, alcohol, and sex addict, when I found out I was pregnant with Manny I left. So right now I am most likely dead, so please can you adopt Manny and take care of him.

After I read it I quickly put the kids into the car and drove home. Once I dropped them off I went to Veronica's house.

I got to her house and her door was cracked open, when I walked in I seen her body mainly dead then she seen me.
"Derek you have to call the police and adopt Manny please" she says and I nod
I call the police and they came immediately
"Sir who did this?" the cop asked me
"Her ex boyfriend but she didn't tell me his name and I would like to adopt her son" I tell him and he nods
"Sir where is his son right now?" he asked
"I picked him up from school as well with my kids and took them to my house where they go every day" I say
"You sure?" he wants to make sure
"Yes, you can even see his emergency contact i'm on there my name is Derek Luh" I showed him my license
"Ok well we have to go to your house and get Manny so you can adopt him" The cop goes to his car so he can follow me home

I get home and the police take Manny to the adoption agency so I can adopt him. Skylar also comes with me, while Josh watches the twins.

(A/N: Lets just say it takes 1 hour to adopt and get all the paper work done)
"Ok I hear by announce Manny Diaz as Manny Luh" the judge says and Sky and I drive to Veronica's to get Manny's things but first we dropped off Manny
We get to her house and Sky and I started to pack up Manny's things, as we finish I trip over a loose piece of wood.
What the hell.
I went down and opened the piece of wood and found a large amount of money with a note
Dear whoever,
This money is for Manny's college, so please make sure he get this and is always happy. Since you are ready this means I am dead and I wanted you to find this.

I took the money and placed it in my pocket, no I am not stealing it I am going to start a savings account for him.

We are now adding more thing to Manny's room that he already had in our house.
"Dad where's momma?" Manny asks me as I put him to bed
"She is gone she is with the Angels now" I tell him
"She's with god?" he asks and I nod
Manny finally fell asleep and I walked into Skylar and I's room.
"I'm happy we adopted Manny" Sky kisses me
"Me too he officially is my son" I say and we both get into bed and slowly fall asleep wrapped up together
