The coffee shop was busy like always people bustling around like ants, I guess that's what happens when you live in New York. Sitting at one of the free tables I pulled out my tablet and opened up my browser and scrolled through the news.

"Hey can I sit here I won't be a bother" looking up I saw a firefighter obviously off duty since he was just wearing his blue tshirt with the logo on it.

"Of course" I said then went back to reading the news

"Names Mick, Mick Rory" looking up I saw the man had reached his hand out, forcing a smile I put down my tablet and shook his hand.

"Leonard Snart" I answered and began picking up my tablet hoping this conversation was over.

"You come here often" he asked sighing I put down my tablet and laid my glasses down ontop of them

"Everyday, yourself?" I asked though I really didn't care

"First time, not a big coffee house person, I actually came in here to grab a quick bite before going home" he said ringing his hands together. He was a big guy, prob about 7", strong build, a shaved head, tshirt and jeans, he was very good looking but I really had no need for romance in my life and plus he was probably married.

"Off duty?" I asked pointing to his shirt, he raised an eyebrow and realizing what I meant "no.." He said sadly "I'm on medical leave for quite awhile, my back was badly burned and broken, fell out a third story window" he said looking down at his hands that were callused. I don't know why but I reached over and ran my hand along his, feeling the calluses and cuts. When I realized what I was doing I quickly pulled my hand back.

"Sorry" I said sheepishly

He looked at me sadness in his eyes, it must be tough on him not to be able to be out there with his team.

"You really don't remember me do you Lennie" he said, I could tell he was trying to fight back tears, I felt bad because I didn't remember. I was about to say something when a seething headache hit, images of a jail, an explosion, I felt sick

"I ha..ve to go" I said getting up I said as I stood up, the vertigo hit like a slap on the face, I heard the man yelling before everything went dark.

Waking up I quickly sat up, nothing around me seemed familiar, I was in someone's home but I didn't know whose. Looking around the room I saw medals and a picture of a group of firefighters, that firefighter at the coffee shop, wait did he drug my drink? No he couldn't had it before he got there and I had my eyes on it the whole time. It was those memories, it cause me to black out. That when I saw a picture that almost knocked me over, getting up on shaking legs I walked over to the wedding picture on the mantel. I was in the picture standing next to him at the alter, my sister was in it to clapping, obviously a "brides maid" or something. That's when I heard footsteps I turned around fast almost falling to the floor but before I hit the ground, he was there to catch me, how did such a big guy have such speed.

I wanted to say something, I wanted to ask what the hell was going on. But I couldn't move or say anything all I could do was stare into his deep blue/green eyes. There was so much emotion, pain.sadness worry. Reaching up I caressed his face, and once again the second I did so memories came flooding back, the wedding, the night after, this house. My head hurt but I didn't pass out. I felt tears running down my face, I was so confused.

"Come on I'll make you something to eat and while we eat I will tell you the story" . Not knowing what else to do and wanting so many questions answered I nodded. Helping me up he guided me the dining room which was beautiful, it wasn't opened concept with the room I was just in but there was a whole other living room that was fully visible from the kitchen and the gorgeous dining table he sat me down at.
