"You like me,""Shut up, Ace!" You yelled, shoving the blonde man backwards. You didn't have much impact, all you received in return was a smirk as he walked closer to you.
"You know you want me. Stop denying it," he tucked a loose strand of your hair behind your ear and stroked your cheek, messing with you. You tugged on the end of your flannel shirt that your brother Eyeball had given to you, without the Cobras knowing of course. If they knew he actually cared for you and Chris behind closed doors, they'd disown him for sure!
"I don't. Didn't you gather that from me telling you to shut up? Wasn't me pushing you away enough? You only want to mess with me!" You spat, lying of course. You wanted Ace, just like every other girl, but you knew him, and you knew that the chances of him saying all this for any reason other than to mess with you were very unlikely.
"Fine. Have it your way," Ace growled, letting go of you. He walked away angrily, not even looking back to see your saddened face. You didn't want to push him away, not at all, but you knew that if anything happened between you two, your dad would kick his ass. Then yours. Then Eyeball's for letting it happen. Then Chris', just for fun.
You squeezed your eyes shut, pulled yourself together and jogged inside your house, seeing your dad standing at the window. "What do you think you're doing?" He glared at you, drunkenly stumbling to the stairs where you stood, ready to run up if needs be.
"What, dad?"
"I sssaw you! You and your little boyfriend, well lemme tell ya something! No daughter o' mine is gonna run around here like a whore! You're grouuundedd!"
"You can't ground me, look at yourself! You can barely get your words out, you're a disgrace!" You snapped, instantly regretting what you'd said when he grabbed your ankle, causing you to fall forward. Your mouth bust, an you felt blood pour out of your bottom lip from the impact of it hitting the stair.
Quickly, you scrambled to your feet and sprinted to your room which you shared with Chris before the old man could catch you. "Y/N?! What happened?!"
"Put a pair of jeans on with a shirt, get your shoes and a jacket. Now," you spoke quickly, wrapping a hair tie around your hair so it was in a ponytail away from your face. A couple of strands fell loose again. "Come on," you grabbed your brother's hand, lifting the window to open it.
"What happened, Y/N?" He asked, refusing to go anywhere.
"Chris, just climb out quickly. I'll hold dad off and I'll be right down, and then I'll explain everything, I promise," you muttered, ushering Chris out of the window. You heard a light thud, meaning he was out and you quickly took your turn.
Once you were down, you grabbed his hand and you two began running, stopping when a car pulled up beside you. "Y/N? What happened?" Eyeball asked. He was with Ace in his car.
"D-dad..." You stuttered out, not managing to breathe properly.
"Ace, man, c'mon. I can't leave 'em,"
"Get in," you heard Ace grumble, "I'll take the kid to LaChance's and you to my place, okay?"
You looked at Chris who was hesitant to get in the car. "I don't know..." He whispered. You couldn't blame him for being scared of Ace; he was a scary guy at times, but Chris needed to get over that at the minute.
"Chris, I'm here with you. Nothing bad will happen. You'll go to Gordie's and I'll come get you in the morning," you kissed your brother's head and climbed into the car.

"So I didn't know Eyeball had a soft spot for his siblings," Ace smirked as he threw you a clean shirt. You caught it and held it out in front of you, it was plain white and way too big for you, but you were grateful for it.
"Thanks," you decided not to comment on your brother actually having feelings, knowing that anything you say would have an impact on Ace's perception of the guy. "I'm gonna go out this on in the bathroom,"
"Just do it in here, it's quicker. I'll turn around," Ace covered his eyes with his hand and faced the wall, so you quickly stripped down and put the shirt over your head, being careful not to get any blood from your mouth on it.
"I'm done," you sighed, feeling extremely tired.
"Okay, well you can sleep here. I'll go get on the couch,"
"Wait!" You stopped Ace as he headed to the door. "I-I don't really wanna be alone, could...could you stay?" Ace nodded and got into the bed with you, protectively wrapping his arm around your waist. "Look Ace, about earlier, I'm sorry. I just-"
"It's okay, I know," he whispered, placing a kiss on your cheek. You rolled over and placed your lips on his, feeling awkward at first until he kissed back, pulling your waist closer to his. "I love you,"
"I love you too."
