He found himself happier than ever, Jack always made Mark happy, but Mark never wanted to get further than friends.
He loved Jack, but there was something Jack didn't know, that no one knew. He had a split personality, some kind of "dark" version of himself. He never understood it, the doctors have given him pills for years to treat it, it rarely got in the way. Mark was scared to ever get close to anyone, because of his past, he was scared of ruining his future.
One thing Mark didn't know, however, is that Jack was exactly the same. Jack was on similar pills, he had a very similar condition, he felt exactly the same way.
People on YouTube had ended up figuring this out. They gave the YouTube personas and their problems names, at first it started with little names, fan art, fan videos of 'Darkiplier' and 'Antisepcticeye' while Mark and Jack remained oblivious.
The whole community was all for the dark and anti personas, not knowing the seriousness behind them.
Maybe we could 'help', maybe we could 'change them' ...
