Chapter 3 - Friends ?

Sanyukta woke up with a heavy head. She sat upright and looked at the clock. It was half past two. She just realized where she was. She was in some hotel bedroom in the bed. She quickly checked her clothes. Everything was in place ,just as she had worn. She took a sigh of relief that she hadn't done anything stupid that night

She got out of bed and walked across the room wondering in whose room was she. She could faintly remember happenings of yesterday night.

"So you have woke up,huh ?" Randhir asked.

She quickly walked upto him and within seconds her hand was on his cheek.

"Ouch. That hurt. What was just for?" He asked confused

"What did you do with me last night ?" She snapped

"What ? Me ? I didn't do anything.."

"Don't lie. I remember everything correctly and I'll go to police."

"Mad woman. Remember correctly" he shouted

Her brain formed blur images of one man hitting another. She took a little time before she remembered that guy called Sameer had tried to force her and a good guy had saved her. Were you this good guy? She spoke little louder

"Yep" he spoke "

"Yes. It was me" he said again as though he read her mind.

She looked at him awkwardly thinking what to ask first.

He handed her a glass and urged her to drink." it's lemon juice. It helps. "

She drank it and said "Thanks for yesterday"

"My pleasure. Actually it was my duty. That's what good guys do isn't it ?" He chuckled

"Yeah. Good guy who made me drink" she said sarcastically

"And paid for it too" he added.

"And sorry for the slap" she said going red.

"I ain't forgiving you" he said.

"Sorry?" She asked

"I'll only forgive you if you go out on lunch with me now
" he smiled

"Whatever. By the way can I use your washroom" she asked

"Sure. Get yourself a bath ,then you can go down for lunch." He said.

"I'm really sorry but I can't take you on lunch" she said softly

"Excuse me. Why do you have to misunderstand always ?" He asked

She gave him an confused looks.

"I said you have to go on lunch with me. I didn't ask you to take me on lunch. Don't deny or else I won't forgive you for slap" he smiled "And here is your bag which you were carrying yesterday." He handed her bag to her.

She smiled and went to the washroom. After about an hour they were in the restaurant having some pasta.

"So what's your back story then?" He asked

"I was here with my friend. She had to go urgently along with the hotel room booking and all my money. So basically I'm broke. But I have called her . she's gonna send me back everything but ..."

"But that takes 3 days " he completed her sentence

"Yes." She replied

"You can stay with me then" he said casually

She widened her eyes.

"I meant I can get you a room for staying. However I have another room booked over here"

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Yeah. And when you get back the money, pay me back. I'm not good enough to let go my money freely"

She giggled "okay then"

"Hmm so why did you save me yesterday?" She asked

"Hmm just like that"

"Come on. Nobody does anything just like that" she laughed

"Okay I saved you because just because I'm a guy ,that doesn't mean I don't respect girls and their dignity"

"Aww...that's cute. So you have a girlfriend?" She asked curiously

"What?" He spat out water which he was drinking "what made you think that?" He asked

"What? You don't have one? Stop lying. You're handsome. And you talk wonderfully... Who wouldn't fall for you" she said as though it was obvious

"Aha so you think I'm handsome?" He asked

"I didn't mean that" she blushed. Why was she blushing... She thought.

"Then what did you mean?" He asked

She got up "Nothing. I'm full " and literally ran back to his room

It was night when He came back to room ,she was standing near the window looking at the sky.

"They are cleaning the room. You can shift there in an hour " he said

"Thank-you" she said gleefully

"He walked to her and looked out to the sky she was looking
" what are looking at?"

"Moon." She smiled "you know Mom always used to say there is someone there on moon who listens to our wishes and fulfills them"

"You believe it?" He asked

She nodded in affirmative. "Look how beautiful it is. I don't feel like believing that it is lies."

He smiled.

"By the way I'm-"

He didn't allow her to complete it "Miss. Moon"

"Huh?"

"You're Miss Moon for me. I'm gonna call you that. "

"Haha. Okay but I'm Aditi" she made up.

"Nice name. I'm Ayush" he led forward his hand.

"Okay do you think I told you my real name?" She laughed

"Nope. I lied too" he said

She glared At him.

"It's good that way. You're Ayush and I'm Aditi. And whatever happens we won't reveal our real identities. Okay?" She asked

"Definitely. Only secrets between us like that movie tamasha right ?"

"Righto.. Ayush. Then friends ?"

He nodded.

"And that doesn't mean you can flirt or think about touching me" she warned

"Deal. I won't do any such thing. Just friends. I promise" he laughed

"Good night Ayush"

"Good night Aditi. See you tomorrow at breakfast" he called out
