For days Camila was quiet, unresponsive, taciturn. She was not being unpleasant or rude by any stretch, she answered Laurens questions and smiled at her quips, but she sensed there was something off.

"You know you can tell me things, right? I mean I can't tell anybody else, if that's what you're afraid of," she teased.

Camila shook her head.

"I know, but it's nothing."

Lauren sighed. "You always say it's nothing. No one can tell when something's wrong with you."

Camila hesitated for a moment, before replying, "you did."

"So you are admitting something is wrong."

"Something is wrong with me, not you. And it's got nothing to do with you," she lied.

"What could possibly be wrong with you, other than the fact that you think something is wrong with you?"

"I'm...lying to myself, about certain things. More like being delusional, actually."

Lauren stared at her strangely.

"Is this about Shawn?"
