•Chapter 19•

•Zayn's POV•

Who does Louis think he's fucking with? He called me Liam's pet! I'm certainly no ones pet. This is why Louis and I have a bad past with each other. He always ends up on my bad side on purpose. Harry is always on Louis' side so I doubt that he'll be on mine even if we had an easygoing past.

I put my jacket and walk outside to the cold and windy city. I get the pack of cigarettes from my pocket and take one out to smoke it. People give me obnoxious looks and glares from my puffs of smoke from my mouth. No one should fuck with me especially when there's a full moon two nights from now. I get really fearless and reckless when I'm extremely irritated.

I walk towards Liam's house to warn him from Louis.

I quickly knock on the door and wait for him to open it wide for me.

He looks at me with a worried expression on his face. We stand looking at each other carefully as Liam's eyes land on the cigarette in my mouth. He gasps as he puts his hand out in front of my mouth.

I slowly let go of the cigarette and it lands in his palm, not even fazing him.

"What did I tell you about smoking?" He asks me demandingly.

"Not in the house." I blankly state and he nods.

"I know you're stressed out but please tell me!" He orders politely while putting out the cigarette.

"Liam. It's Louis. He's acting up again even after 30 years. He can't seem to grow up." I put my hands on my face.

We stay in silence until Liam shares a shocking secret. "Niall told me he loves me and even bought me a Rolex." He says while looking at his wrist carefully.

I immediately look at him. "What? What did you say? Did you say it back?" I bombarded him with my questions.

"I didn't know what to say. I was mute. One thing for sure is, Niall is my boyfriend but you Zayn, you're my partner, my lover, my other half and the guy who took my virginity. I don't know by that means something serious to me." He pours his emotions out to me.

"Liam I know you hate violence but I have to fight with Louis." I slowly explain.

He nods. "Take me along with you."

A smile escapes my lips and I hug him tightly. "I'll know for sure that he'll have more back up. Him, Harry and Jade for sure. She's a bit angry for leaving her car at the bar." I exclaim.

"Buzzed drinking is drunk drinking." He says while pouting.

"I know baby, I know." I kiss his cheek slowly. I slowly lean to kiss him on the lips but control myself.

He looks at me with hurt and confusion. "Why'd you stop?" He asks me.

"You said it yourself. You're dating Niall. We could've continued but I don't want to be a cheater. I'm sorry. Maybe in the future." I tell him and he gives me a forced smile.

"I'll call my best friend Blake so he can join us. He'll agree for sure!" Liam says proudly.

I nod. "Just make sure that you don't rush him into anything he doesn't want to do, alright?" I beg slightly.

He nods and smiles at me. "I won't. I promise." He says as he walks out of the room with Blake on the other line.

I sigh as I get another cigarette and light it up as I walk out his home. I walk out and I notice that it's only 10:13 at night and I feel my stress just wash away. The nighttime makes me feel protected and that no one can judge me. I feel footsteps behind me and I feel my skin give out chills. I try to walk fast enough without making it obvious and I feel them continuing to follow me. I quickly turn around and my eyes widen. There standing in front of me is Niall.

He nervously grabs my hand in apology. "Listen. I want to apologize before the fight since you might not make it out alive. You've had it out for me and I totally understand. I took Liam away and I didn't earn your trust. I never hated you and I still don't." He says as he hugs me. I carefully hug him back.

All of a sudden, Jade runs towards us and tried to hurt Niall but I turn around and show her my back as he claws dig deeply into my back. I growl in hurt as Niall gasps and tried to help me up.

"Go! Go home and lock the door and don't come out!"

He does what I tell him to.
